Details of the five category finals and the semi final for the 2010 competition have been announced.

They will take place at the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff Bay. Five competitors per category perform a recital programme of 20 minutes in a bid for the title of category winner.
In the semi-final the five category winners will compete for three places in the competition Final on 16 May.
The events will take place on the following dates:
- Brass: Sunday 7 February, 7pm
- Strings: Monday 8 February, 7pm
- Keyboard: Tuesday 9 February, 7pm
- Woodwind: Wednesday 10 February, 7pm
- Percussion: Thursday 11 February, 7pm
- Semi-Final: Friday 12 February, 7pm
