Pebble Mill, as it was
Pebble Mill

The final view from Pebble Mill

Pebble Mill, the 大象传媒's base in Birmingham for thirty years, closed at the end of 2004. Scroll down for the last image captured by the famous building's webcam.

The Pebble Mill studios in Edgbaston staged many 大象传媒 shows, most famously the Pebble Mill at One lunchtime chat show, which ran from 1973 to 1986. It launched the television career of gardener Alan Titchmarsh.

The 大象传媒's answer to This Morning with Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, Good Morning with Anne Diamond and Nick Owen, also came from Pebble Mill.

Nick is now one of the main presenters of Midlands Today, which comes live from 大象传媒 Birmingham's new base at The Mailbox in Birmingham city centre.

The 大象传媒 Birmingham website's Pebble Mill webcam, on the roof of the building,听 proved to be very popular over the years. The image, above, is the final photo taken by the webcam before it was switched off. Birmingham City centre can be seen in the background of the image.

Pebble Mill was demolished in 2005. A 36,000 sq m world-class research and development facility for the medical and healthcare industries is to be built upon the site.
