Q&A jobs panels
To celebrate National Careers Week 2022, Bitesize Careers have put together a series of panels to discuss careers in a number of jobs sectors.If you're interested in what it's like to work for the likes of the NHS, Capital FM, Aston Villa FC, Coronation Street or TikTok then this is for you!
We speak to people working in five exciting areas 鈥 healthcare and science, media and journalism, sports, music and arts, and technology 鈥 to give you a sense of what life is really like in their roles and what they think the future could hold for their sectors.
Healthcare and science
A&E doctor and presenter Dr Alex George talks to Shaan Gill, apprentice at AstraZeneca; Deborah Olusanya, NHS healthcare assistant; and Shannon McCall, RSPCA veterinary surgeon about their roles in two sectors that have been in the spotlight since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sports
Sports presenter Max Whittle talks to Rennee Gottshalk, football coach at Aston Villa FC; Phil Burt, former British Cycling physio and current ergonomist; Josh Patterson, co-owner of TheRunBuddy app; and Amy Spencer, psychologist at Southampton FC about potential options available to you when you've finished your education, and their top tips for getting a foot in the door.
Relax and be kind to yourself. I doubt anyone aged 18 will tell you that they know what they will do for the rest of their life.

Music and the arts
大象传媒 Radio 1Xtra presenter Nadia Jae discusses careers in music and the arts with Callum Ross, A&R for Island Records; Cassie Lomas, makeup artist and businesswoman; Jack James Ryan, actor in Coronation Street; and Paul Pritchard, sound engineer at Abbey Road Studios. They discuss how they got into their roles and some of the future opportunities which may be available in their sectors.

Media and journalism
Journalist and 大象传媒 North West Tonight weather presenter Owain Wyn Evans discusses careers in the media and journalism industry with Niall Gray, Capital FM radio presenter; Elizabeth Kwenortey, EastEnders script editor; and Joe Tidy, 大象传媒 News cyber security reporter. They discuss challenges they have overcome and what they expect the future prospects might be for jobs in their sector.
It's an industry where you can fully embrace being yourself.

Technology
Rory Reid talks to Ana Cuoto, associate engineer at EMEC; Lottie Moor, marketing manager at TikTok; and Siwan Owen, associate development manager at EA about careers in technology. They discuss how they got into the industry and what their jobs involve, as well as giving handy tips and advice for anyone wanting to pursue a career in their sector.
It鈥檚 ok to change career paths, or not know what you want to do. The more transferrable skills you learn, the easier the path will be.
