Climate champions: Freedom Kids podcast 鈥 Bristol, England
15 children from Felix Road Adventure Playground have shown the judges that there is no stopping them from spreading awareness on climate change. Made by children for children, the 鈥楩reedom Kids鈥 podcast is designed to help inspire 5 to 13-year-olds to think about how they see the world. A place for them to share their feelings about how they could protect the planet.

The Deepings Apache Cub Scouts 鈥 Cambridgeshire, England
This scouts club is taking their duties to protect the environment head on. The cubs have completed lots of challenges to reduce their impact on the environment. These challenges include learning about different plastics and how to reduce and recycle.
Not only did they want to reduce waste in their own households, the cubs set out to help their community with bags and grabbers and completed a community litter pick as part of Earth Day.
Their challenge does not stop their though! The Apaches built bird boxes and feeders to increase the chances birds spreading flowers. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed as the cubs received their Blue Peter Green badges in 2022. Well done cubs!
Bletchingley Road Rubbish Busters 鈥 Surrey, England
After being fed up with seeing so much litter on the streets and the local wildlife being affected, this group of 12 young people decided enough was enough! After setting up their litter picking group, the Bletchingley Road Rubbish Busters, the team take to the streets to clean up unwanted rubbish.
The team work hard to provide a cleaner environment for not only wildlife, but for their community, and even become local celebrities in their town!

This inspiring group is not just a group of young climate champions 鈥 they are a family of cousins! The Clornia group, who live in a rural area in Northern Ireland, have a passion to look after the environment and protect wildlife.
The family spend every weekend picking up rubbish around their community, and it hasn鈥檛 gone unnoticed! Neighbours who pass by will receive leaflets on how they can protect the environment too, to help spread the word.
