Artists use drawing for different purposes such as researching, experimenting, planning and documenting ideas. Drawing can take many forms, using a range of materials.
Erasers, or rubbers, are normally used to remove unwanted marks but they can be used creatively and as part of mark making too.
There are different types of rubber which work best with different materials. A classic rubber is good for light lines and HB pencils. A kneaded, or putty, eraser is good for soft materials like charcoal. An electric eraser is good for working more precisely.
