The resource sheet
Now you have written your assignment you will need to prepare a resource sheet to help you with the write up.
It should be no longer than two sides of A4. You can put on it any information you have collected from your sources such as statistics and quotes.
Remember: you will get no marks if you copy anything directly from the sheet.
Advice: Taking this into account the best resource sheet should just contain the proof of the two sources you will use in the Research Methods section. Examples would be:
- a screen shot of a webpage you used showing the URL and the main heading
- questions from your questionnaire
- the name, channel and date of a TV programme you watched
The write-up
Now you have written your assignment you will have to one hour under exam conditions to write up your assignment with only your resource sheet to help you.
When writing the assignment in class make sure you pay attention to the time. It is important to complete all the sections rather than write too much for some sections and fail to complete a section or sections.
How to study for the assignment write-up
There are two main ways to prepare:
- memorise your assignment word-for-word (this will be hard for some)
- write down some key words for each section and memorise them along with any quotes or statistics you will need
