Regular verbs in the present tense – formation

To conjugate a regular verb in the present tense, we need to:

1. Take the ending off the verb infinitive:

  • parler → parl
  • choisir → chois
  • vendre → vend

This is called the stem.

2. Add the correct ending as shown in the table below:
