An animated film trailer following a secret agent as he takes part in a job interview. He recalls adventurous events and tasks from previous missions when asked about his work experience, and seems like the perfect candidate, until he finds he’s stumbled in on the wrong interview.

Create a past tense exercise, in which the past participles are muddled up and pupils have to match them to the correct sentence half. As a follow-up activity, give pupils a job title on a card and ask them to write, and subsequently speak about the job they’ve been given in the past tense. They should use a dictionary to be able to adapt the structures. Alternatively, in pairs, one pupil could act as the interviewer and pose questions, while the other pupil replies in the past tense, using the structures in the film.
