Hydrosphere
- Formation of erosional and depositional features in river landscapes
  There are recognisable features found in river landscapes that can be explained by processes of erosion and also by deposition.
- Hydrological cycle within a drainage basin
  The hydrological cycle within a drainage basin is different to a global hydrological system in that it is an open system and input, water transfer, and storage will vary.
- Interpretation of hydrographs
  A hydrograph shows how a river is affected by a storm. This helps to understand discharge patterns of a particular drainage basin and helps to predict flooding and plan flood prevention measures.
