Formation of erosional and depositional features in river landscapes
There are recognisable features found in river landscapes that can be explained by processes of erosion and also by deposition.
Hydrological cycle within a drainage basin
The hydrological cycle within a drainage basin is different to a global hydrological system in that it is an open system and input, water transfer, and storage will vary.
Interpretation of hydrographs
A hydrograph shows how a river is affected by a storm. This helps to understand discharge patterns of a particular drainage basin and helps to predict flooding and plan flood prevention measures.
