Description
The gap between those who live comfortably with a good income and those who live in poverty has been increasing. There are barriers that prevent those in poverty from improving their situation. They are said to be socially excluded.
Classroom Ideas
Use as an introduction to explain the concept of social exclusion to students. Ask students to think of the barriers which prevent poorer people improving their situation.
