An account of how Prince Siddhartha left the comfort and safety of his father鈥檚 palace and saw 鈥楩our Sights鈥 that were to change his life. As he looked on old age, sickness, death and holiness, he determined to search for the real answers to the meaning of life.

Classroom Ideas

Could be used to introduce students to the story of the Siddhartha, the founder of Buddhism. Students could be asked to discuss and consider examples of how experiences can change people鈥檚 lives and how people view life. This could then form part of a written reflective response. Students could undertake further research into Buddhist beliefs about suffering.
