Black and Hispanic involvement in US politics
Description
A lack of candidates from black and Hispanic groups results in few role models to encourage participation. Many believe that the main political parties in the US do not engage with the issues affecting them. Many people from black and Hispanic groups live in poverty with low levels of employment and education, making them less likely to vote. Language may also prove a barrier.
