There has been plenty of good-natured banter flying around the ´óÏó´«Ã½ sports room over the past few days as have been dominating the sporting agenda.

As the debate raged over just how I just happened to mention that I wasn't sure what the fuss was about... as in some sports

Most of England's Barbados heroes will be in action over the next month as the season moves from Test matches to a series of one-day internationals, featuring

Whilst after their defeat in the ICC World Twenty20 final, England will be hoping to gain some sort of edge with

These forthcoming one-day games also mark the 30th anniversary of cricket matches sponsored by NatWest - and the birthday was marked earlier this week by a special event held in central London with

The "Little Master" took part in a half-hour question and answer session and Test Match Special was given special permission to record the event - you'll be able to hear some of Tendulkar's fascinating thoughts on the game during our coverage of Tuesday's opening one-day international against Australia at

You'll hear Tendulkar's thoughts on the forthcoming events Down Under - "I think England have a good chance of retaining the Ashes", on the formats of the game in the future: "I am sure things will keep changing with each generation... but for me, Test cricket will always be the number one format. That is the most challenging, tough and satisfying form of the game", and on his own future: "I want to play for as long as possible and as long as I have the desire and the hunger I will carry on... The day I do not want to get out of bed and do anything then I know it will be time to go in another direction."

You will also hear some fascinating memories of Tendulkar's when he became the second youngest player to score a Test hundred and his memories of when India chased down a mammoth target to lift the trophy.

Our commentary team for the Australia ODIs includes and with from ABC radio again providing the Australian perspective.

They will be joined by former England captain Michael Vaughan, who although best remembered as the man who won back the Ashes, suffered a very different experience in

"In my first game against the Aussies I was bowled first ball by Jason Gillespie as England were dismissed for just 86. I remember the Australian captain Steve Waugh set a very attacking field for me. Three slips, two gullies and a short leg... not what I was expecting in a one-day international. I think the ball nipped back, flicked my pads and bowled me. My feet were nowhere."

Our other summarisers for the Aussie ODIs include TMS favourites and plus will be with us for the first time this summer. We will also be joined by former England batsmen and while current Lancashire boss and ex-England coach will be part of our team at Old Trafford. And legendary Australian fast bowler Jeff Thomson will be providing throughout our coverage of the games.

As well as ball-by-ball commentary other features coming up include a "day in the life" of England women's captain including her work supporting the campaign, the Lord Mayor of London will be telling us about a very special cricket match being played at featuring a Royal Household team and we'll be joined by a host of celebrities as celebrate their 60th anniversary.

It all gets underway on Tuesday, 22 June with the opening ODI at the Rose Bowl and TMS will be on the air at 1415 BST on both ´óÏó´«Ã½ 5 live sports extra and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 4 Long Wave.

I can understand why Scotland verses England isn't being broadcast on 5 Live Sports Extra; the station is broadcasting other events on Saturday. However, there is no excuse for not broadcasting the match on Radio 4 longwave. If it is possible to listen to Scotland verses England on the radio in Scotland, it should be possible to listen to the match on the radio in England.

If 5 Live wasn't broadcasting football matches we can hear nationally on TalkSport, it would be possible to broadcast Scotland verses England on 5 Live Sports Extra.

Is the cricket being shown live on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Scotland?

If so why can't it be shown on the RED button for the rest of us?

is it a triangular competition between scotland england and australia?are the ashes at stake in a 1 day series? are bangladesh gone now from touring? the whole thing is a mish mash of games, nobody knows who is playing who, whether the games are on the radio or tv,the 20..20 is goin on without any interest in the media what so ever. I watched a kent 20 20 game the other day and there was nobody there at all!!! what a joke. The best cricket ive seen so far this year is the bangladesh geezer opening the batting in the test match brilliant, the 20..20 stuff is rubbish.

great line-up on tms, always a pleasure to listen to jim maxwell.

i clearly remember that odi when vaughan made his debut, it was painful and part of a series in which we lost all 6 games and there was some crowd trouble too.

T20 Cricket World champions England have grown in stature during the Strauss-Flower era. The team looks well set continue the good deeds in the forthcoming ODIs.

Best wishes to Jonathan Agnew and Team TMS.

Adam, given some lousy decisions by the at the footie World Cup so far I think I'm definitely going to stick to sports like cricket that actually use technology to get a fair result! Hopefully England can maintain its winning form in something!

I REALLY ENJOY THE T M S COVERAGE OF CRICKET AND HAVE DONE FOR MORE THAN 4O YEARS. HOWEVER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS RECENTLY I HAVE TUNED IN AND LISTENED FOR UP TO 20 MINUTES BEFORE BEING TOLD THE SCORE! IN THE DAYS OF JOHNERS THE STATE OF THE MATCH WAS GIVEN AT LEAST EVERY OVER. IF ANYONE WHO READS THIS HAS ANY INFLUENCE PLEASE LET AGGERS AND CO KNOW WE LOVE T M S BUT THEY MUST KEEP US REGULARLY UP TO DATE.
