Comments

  • Comment number 1.

Not available on Freeview / Not available on Freesat

Is the ´óÏó´«Ã½ really on Sky and Virgin's commercial side?

´óÏó´«Ã½ should never have removed the second channel on Freeview, it is proved time after time. As for Freesat not having access to the SAME interactive programmes that are delivered on the SAME satellite is madness?

  • Comment number 2.

Please replicate the Red Button on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Download Manager online video player when live TV is made available on it.

  • Comment number 3.

Next weekend is going to be awful for Freeview viewers with Glastonbury, Wimbledon, F1 and the World Cup - yet you still have play along In it to Win It scheduled! Ridiculous!

And as ranted earlier, the World Cup interactive text service is appalling this year. Very clunky with you having to go through several menus to get the most basic of info (like tables, fixtures), with a fixture guide that doesn't know what order the days of the week should be in. Very poor in comparison to previous tournaments where it had a simple interface with all key data accessed from one menu.

  • Comment number 4.

pebbens: the second Freeview video stream couldn't be made available after switchover. Before switchover the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has two multiplexes at 18Mbps for a total of 36Mbps; after switchover they have one multiplex of 24Mbps, so they had to lose 12Mbps. This was found by dropping the second red button stream, ´óÏó´«Ã½ News Interactive (also a red button stream) and increasing compression on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One (which, before switchover, uses 36% more bandwidth than ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two/Three/Four, 88% more than ITV1, and more than twice as much as ITV4).

The second multiplex becomes the HD multiplex. To get HD, you lose the interactive stream.

  • Comment number 5.

I regularly check the red button to see what is going to be shown on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ sport multiscreen and elsewhere
however the ' sport on ´óÏó´«Ã½ ' listings has become useless !
eg , for the montreal F1 race I checked to see the timings ... no F1 practise on the sports multiscreen ! must be because it is from canada I thought , don't understand why but......
afterwards I found out that the sesions WERE shown

this weekend I looked to see the timings of the motogp practise sessions ...none listed ; so I checked later at the time I guessed it should be , and it was being shown !

don't you wish people to know what you are going to show ? is it secret ? not everyone has 24/7 access to the internet to look at anything you post there , some have no access at all

    what is happening ???

  • Comment number 6.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 7.

So once again F1 Practice takes precedence over competitive sporting action. It's fair enough to put it on the red button when there isn't anything else to show, but F1 Practice is nothing more than an extra and nobody would expect Wimbledon Practice to take precedence over F1 Qualifying for example.

Just a shame that despite all the issues set to arise this weekend, there is absolutely no point in complaining because you'll only get brushed off with the same old response about how wonderful ´óÏó´«Ã½ HD is rather than addressing the issue at hand.

  • Comment number 8.

I wish the ´óÏó´«Ã½ wouldn't show the same tennis match on ´óÏó´«Ã½ 2 and 301. As we've only one interactive stream now on Freeview it would be nice to have a choice of tennis matches to watch. Last night was dire with the same Williams match on both channels when there must have been several other matches available to be shown....

    NOT GOOD ENOUGH, ´óÏó´«Ã½!

  • Comment number 9.

Can't believe play-along In it to Win It still gets priority over Glastonbury and Wimbledon tonight on Freeview. People can still play along on ´óÏó´«Ã½1 without the need to press buttons on their remote.
