Apparently it's archive week at the ´óÏó´«Ã½ and there are blog posts all over the ´óÏó´«Ã½ and an excellent to mark this auspicious occasion. In case you missed them (and there are a couple more to come before the end of the week) here they are in full:
- Project manager Helen Papadopoulos blogs on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Genome which will "bring the broadcast history of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ to life". Genome involves creating of an online catalogue of every ´óÏó´«Ã½ programme ever broadcast and it starts by scanning every issue of the Radio Times.
- Roly Keating, the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Director of Archive Content, introduces the latest online archive collection featuring British novelists in their own words and goes on to talk about the importance of putting historically important material online.
- As this one's on the Internet blog you will have probably seen it already: Adrian Williams, Digitisation Group Manager, blogs on the huge collection of items in the ´óÏó´«Ã½ archive at Windmill Road.
- Richard Wright from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Research & Development describes the work of ´óÏó´«Ã½ R&D and its partners in preserving and maintaining historical broadcasting assets.
