Video-Conference Sessions

´óÏó´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra | 11:10 UK time, Thursday, 18 January 2007

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra is always looking for new ways to connect to its audiences in Scotland and beyond. Anyone can tune in to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 3 or to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Scotland and hear the orchestra perform, but through the wonders of video-conferencing, four of our woodwind players and our principal trombonist have just begun a series of sessions to schools in Islay, Orkney, Barra and Dumfries.. By using this technology, we have been able to interact with pupils who wouldn't usually have access to professional orchestral musicians.

If you're taking part in any of the sessions, we'd love to know what you think of them. Please leave your comments below.

If you'd like to know more about what else we do, please contact ssolearning@bbc.co.uk.
