DURNESS RESIDENCY

´óÏó´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra | 11:27 UK time, Thursday, 3 April 2008

Hello, I'm the flute player with the octopus on my head in Simon Butterworth's Durness photos.

Why did I have an octopus on my head? Well, I was taking part in a ´óÏó´«Ã½ SSO Learning project involving four musicians and three visual artists. It was a wonderful opportunity to work in a completely different way, without the usual parameters, and Graham Jeffery, the project facilitator, describes everything beautifully in his article "Chamber Music".
If you go to the Get Involved page on the site, you can find out all about the project. I'd be really interested to know what you think about it and the material from the residency. So please leave your comments below!
