The Real Hustle and jungle babe Jessica-Jane Clement may now be facing creepy crawlies and bush tucker trials, but tonight, we see her again tackle the ugly side of the beauty industry with Skin Deep: The Business of Beauty at 8.30pm.

Jessica-Jane Clement in Skin Deep: The Business of Beauty

Jess' mission is to help hard done by consumers who have suffered from beauty treatment mishaps. She finds out in this consumer series that in most parts of the UK, the beauty industry is unregulated. It's up to beauticians and hairdressers to get qualifications, so anyone could open up a salon.

Here's a clip from tonight's episode:

Next week and in the last of the series, Jess is going to investigate more beauty disaster stories including that of a DIY home dye addict and the powerful acid peel cheaply and easily available online. Don't forget, episode 3 of Skin Deep: The Business of Beauty is on Monday at 8.30pm.

Terrible show. God help these people if they ever get real health problems. There are people with genuine injuries and disfigurements unlike these overly vain whingers who aren't happy with treatment that isnt even permanent. See how Macular degeneration compares to a slightly different eyebrow. Are we really so short of tv program ideas that something better than this cannot be thought up

GOOD SHOW! Just for thr record HandsomeCharles, people that want to better there apperance are not overly vain whingers.FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, i have suffered a terriable allergic reaction from dying my hair.To the point of being hospitalised. My eyes, cheeks, forehead were so swollen they weeped and my scalp and ears were burnt that much my skin fell off.I now can never dye my hair and watch what products i use.You would think by buying a kit and reading the instructions ( and also doing the 48hr patch skin test before hand )you would be safe. These hair dyes will never stop being sold as there cheap, quick and easy.More and more VICTIMS are being emotionally and PERMANENTLY scared from these products and something needs to be done about the chemicals they put in them. This show brings awareness to others and that is a GODSEND!
for the record i am also a qualified hairdresser of 6 years and i still managed to have this,so it has nothing to do with the person,ITS THE COLOUR ITSELF !!!!!!!!

I just watched episode 4. While Jess said the tattoo parlour had taken down the "Healthcare Commission" sign in their window, their website still says:
"Our laser treatment is fully accredited and approved by the Healthcare Commission enabling us to undertake NHS treatment." I'm not going to give their website address, but you can find it by searching for "tattoo" and "Princes Quay Shopping Centre".
