Mumbai - Our thoughts are with you
It is on a sad Thanksgiving Day that we are writing our blog and makes the events which are taking place in Mumbai moreÌýpoignant. We are both shocked and saddened by the unprecedented state of attacks and losses in India's commercial heart and the centre of the Indian Film Industry. ItÌýbeggars belief. Our sincere condolences to the families suffering with this inexplicable state of affairs.

RAJ: The majority of my closest friends live in South Mumbai - the original colonial part of this great city. The buildings are historical and in the best BritishÌýimperialist tradition.ÌýSouth Mumbai is the heartland of old money - think of it as Mayfair meets Knightsbridge as opposed to Bandra and Juhu which is more Notting Hill. The Taj and OberoiÌýare amongÌýour favouriteÌýplacesÌýand we are in shock. Leopold's is an old Mumbai institution - cheap and cheerful and full of travellers and made famous in the novel Shantaram'. I am just relieved that some of my nearest and dearest are safe.

PABLO: A lot of our close friends and people we have bonded with from the film fraternityÌýreside in Mumbai and from the moment we learned of the attacks we were both on our phones. Thankfully none were affected - although the level of shock and bewilderment made both of us shudder. However one thing we are aware of, and take comfort from, is the legendary resilience of Mumbaikers.
