Kites!

Raj&Pablo | 13:28 UK time, Sunday, 16 May 2010

We're looking forward to the premiere of Kites on Tuesday, where we'll get the chance to catch up with Hrithik, Barbara, Rakesh and Suzanne: they really are some of the most charming people in Bollywood - it's all volcanic ash permitting of course!

London's buzzing with Kites hysteria, but Cannes is also buzzing with Bollywood at the moment it seems. Aishwariya, Deepika and Malika Sherawat have all been gracing the red carpet there - we wonder if they'll manage to make it to London for the Kites Premiere?

Aside from the Kites guests, Darsheel "no comment" Safary was one of our other guests on the show this weekend - the kid's so well focused! If you missed our chat with him, you can hear it in the Love Bollywood show podcast available to download later today.

Harmesh Malhotra 1986 super blockbuster film Nagina starring Sridevi, Rishi Kapoor and a very scary Amrish Puri was our Film Club classic this week.Ìý The movie is a masterpiece with Sridevi as the Snake Queen. Nagina secured Sridevi's place as the No1 star after the super success of Mr India. Would you believe Jayaprada was offered the role first but refused because she was scared of snakes?

As well as Sridevi's awesome performance another highlight was Laxmikant Pyrelal's songs - The music is superb - who can forget tracks like 'Balma To Balma Ho', 'Tu Ne Bechain Itna' and the super hit 'Main Teri Dushman'. Watch this with your pet mongoose for safety!
