Thursday night on Get It On is devoted to your favourite summer songs. As always, tonight turned up some great suggestions. Billy Bragg, Buddy Holly and Bryan Hyland鈥檚 Sealed With A Kiss were particulary enjoyable.
Problem with commiting to do summer songs every Thursday is that I don鈥檛 know when it鈥檚 appropriate to stop. Halfway through 鈥楾wisting By The Pool鈥� I had a gut feeling that it was time.
Just like wearing white shoes after Labour Day, it somehow feels wrong to be playing songs about frolicking on the beach when the schools are back. How do you know when summer鈥檚 over? Let me know please.
My hunch is to get back to normal next week, but then again, do I really want to be known as the man who killed summer?
