Girls Aloud - 'I Think We're Alone Now'

Some might say that this is a fantastically sexed-up, meaty version of Tiffany's classic '80s singalonga-classic. And in a Scrooge-like fashion we say, Bah! Humbug and what a load of old turkey giblets!

Aside from the fact that every line is sung by a different Aloud lady in a confusing fashion, and there's a bit of extra dance-type bass, the song is not very different AT ALL from the Tiffany version that your mum will have bought.

Except that somehow it sounds slower and less exciting. And Lord knows the Tiffany version wasn't AMAZING in the first place. In fact, in marked contrast to the life-affirming, hot-as-heck glory of the recent Aloud output, this is a bit of a souless, half-baked affair.

Ladies, come on, we know you can do SO much better than this!

Aww come on... it's not that bad. How can you say this is slower and less exciting than the Tiffany version? Hers is a bare-bones basic 80s dance track and the GA version is properly beefed up with guitar and synths.

Sure, this might not be as good as 'Something Kinda Ooooh' but compared to GA's last 3 covers this is by far the best.

tiffany covered the song herself...lene lovich also covered it in the 80's and i am sure it came from the 60's....who knows...?????

[Er, I do, actually. It was originally a US Top Ten hit for Tommy James and the Shondells in the late '60s. More info on this song can be found at - Fraser]
