The Cribs and Emily ChartBlog

See this picture of the Cribs here? Notice anything strange about it? That's right, their singer Ryan is missing, and ChartBlog's own Emily Wood is sitting where he should be. Now, this isn't because ChartBlog's own Emily Wood is a shameless glory-hog who can't abide a photo being taken without barging her way in (heaven forbid!), no, it's because the photograph was taken just after Emily met and interviewed the band, and during the interview, Ryan had to run off to be sick...and he never came back.

Oh, and also, seconds in, Emily had a text which contained some very good news, so it's fair to say this has to be the most distracted interview to ever grace ChartBlog. And that is saying something!

Ryan CribsWhat I Expected: An MTV Cribs-style guided tour of the Jarman household back in 'Wakey'...scorn poured upon local clubland...a definite resolution to the age-old question 'Cribs' or 'The Cribs'?...

What I Did Not Expect: Well, running off to be sick is a bit of a ChartBlog first...plus there's the whole baby interruption.."what is a Samanda?"...

Your ChartBlog interviewer was: Emily Wood

Here's the video for 'Don't You Wanna Be Relevant', which is out now.

FACT: You can totally sing 'About You Now' by the Sugababes over the introduction. Try it yourself!
