The Twang: Ghostpushters!
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ is, as you'll no doubt be aware, undergoing a period of intense honesty. This follows a period in which people have been discovered broadcasting things which have been less than 100% true and real (Dr Who, for example...unless I'm missing the point), and so it is felt that the corporation's reputation has been tarnished. Steps have now been taken to rectify this, and you will certainly struggle to find ANY examples of deliberately misleading content on THIS blog, yesireebob!
(Er...but if you could avoid looking too closely at the Blog Party section, that would be grand. Cos it could be argued that that's very misleading indeed, despite what I'd have said were very clear disclaimers all over each posting)
ANYWAY. The upshot of all of this is I have to hold my hands up and admit that the following interview with Phil and Jon from the Twang took place a few weeks ago, rather than, say, right now. In fact it took place on Hallowe'en, hence all the stuff about dressing up and ghosts.
So, do not for a second think that this is a fresh interview, plucked from the ether and delivered to you, piping hot. No, this is more of a journey into THE PAST, where November had still to begin, and last week was still more than a fortnight away.
Over to you, Emily....
What I Expected: A lot of swearing...tales of boozy excess...staunch defense of the band's name...maybe even some stories about trick or treating, given a Twang-tastic twist...
What I Did Not Expect: "Do you want a job?"..."I think we should release that song about Santa at Christmas"..."you pulled that straight out've your w*** bank!"..."What're you trying to do, Phil?" "Dunno"...
