David Guetta & Chris Willis ft. Fergie & LMFAO - Gettin' Over You
OK, now this is getting silly. It's fine for friends to help each other out, and clearly if a pop star is helping another pop star, they're going to want a credit...but FOUR NAMES? In a ROW? That's just a recipe for bad filing.
And have you seen how they're divided into two camps? There's David and Chris on one side: they're clearly the people who MADE this thing, they're the creative geniuses. And then there's Fergie and LMFAO, who just FEATURE on it. They're the hired help.
Oh sure, they're the voices you hear for twelvety-threen percent of the song, but that's because they FEATURE quite HEAVILY. The powerhouse behind the throne, the people who make it all happen, that's yer Guetta/Willis axis, and don't you forget it.
(. Which features some INCREDIBLY BLATANT product placement. See if you can spot it.)
I like this song. It's kinda rowdy and kinda fun, and while it is a smidge cheesy - in much the same way that cheddar trainers would be a smidge cheesy - well, that's how you get the biggest party started. You need something a bit goofy that works like a caffeine jolt to a tired mind. LMFAO bring that goofy, while Fergie sandblasts the rough surfaces even rougher with that power-hose voice of hers, and Chris Willis smiles and plays the happy soul man.
There would be no point in worrying about whether this builds a new cyclepath through music's densely populated urban sprawl, mainly because that's not what anyone is expecting from a David Guetta barnstormer in the first place. But it would be nice to be able to enjoy the blessed thing without constantly dealing with the niggling, geeky voice at the back of my mind that plays 'Spot The Idea That The Black Eyed Peas Did First'.
I meantasay...what's the thinking behind blatantly pinching the best bit from 'Boom Boom Pow' and forcing the lady who sang it to suffer the indignity of doing it again, only less brilliantly? That's not nice!
And the introduction is taken from 'I Gotta Feeling', isn't it? A song which David produced in the first place, so he can hardly claim not to KNOW. Strange eh?
Good chorus though: powerful. I wonder how many megawatts of electricity you could generate, just by getting Fergie to sing at a wind-farm?

I officially HATE the song now and that hate will probably never go away now and I will never return to the time when it was my song of the Summer.
We do not need Part II. I'm sick of David Guetta trying to look hip in all his videos and his bouncy recycled beats. That said, my rant is kind of redundant as I do love Fergie and Chris Willis' parts in this song...in 3 weeks it will annoy the excrement out of me.

See he can do subliminal as well as blatant product placement.

Then, all of a sudden the part you expect to be the best (when the beat is introduced) really lack A LOT. Then some other random rappers come and ruin the song.
Most annoying though is that off-beat and VERRRRY annoying squeak you hear over the beats...
2 stars, and that's only because Fergie's doing it all.

Also I hear another gym user , Louis Walsh , is very sensitive to Randy's physical needs , and has set up a personal body regime to maintain full , lower body flexibility at all times .
