Scissor Sisters - 'Any Which Way'
Gentle reader, I do not know about you, but I for one am SHOCKED and APPALLED that the state of modern popular music should come to this. How, in all good conscience, can we allow our nation's youth to leave the house of an evening, knowing that they are going to be exposed to this utter filth, and worse, use it as a soundtrack to an evening of dancing, and laughing, as if it is the most natural thing in the world?
Should we all sit idly by, while a song which is this unashamedly lascivious and riotously obsessed with matters of a sexual nature sits mocking us in the music purchasing retail outlets of this fair and decent land? Or the music purchasing retail outlets of this unfair and occasionally unpleasant cyberspaceland? Should we ignore the barely-coded messages, hidden within its intoxicating grooves, and just hope they won't cause untold devastation to the moral fibre of the entire WORLD?
I mean LISTEN TO IT! It's...it's...DIRTY!
(. Don't watch it, you'll go blind.)
Some of it is so dirty that right-thinking, decent people such as you and me will struggle to understand all of the dirty things that it has to say. We're comparatively fine with the muscular, thrusting Bee Gees disco backing - it's very similar to a song called 'You Should Be Dancing', I am lead to believe - although clearly it has been designed to raise the pulse-rate and lower inhibitions.
Then there are the references the singer makes to being taken somewhere. It is safe to assume, without fear of being accused of dirtiness oneself, that he is not talking about hitch-hiking. He also wishes to reassure everyone that he is physically ready for the rigours which are to come. He doesn't require medical assistance of any kind, for example, and actually, should events transpire in the way that Jake the singer seems to hope they will, he feels sure that it will be beneficial to his state of mind.
These are all elements that are freely accessible to all but the most pure-minded innocents, and even they will have their doubts.
But then there are other elements which are far more troubling. The female singer appears to keep parts of her under-clothing in an egg, for example. Is this dirty? Is it normal? Should all women choose a selection of lingerie to store under eggshells for...extra...freshness? Is it freshness? Or is it, as I have come to suspect, SOMETHING DIRTY THAT I DO NOT KNOW, AND THEREFORE AM AFRAID OF??
No, this will not do at all. I propose a radical scheme of enforced ear-bungs for the entire nation, keeping us safe within the silent, pure world of our clean, untroubled thoughts, until such time as this song can be disinfected and cleansed thoroughly, preferably using a VERY big scouring pad, and some fire.

"The lyrics [are] very clear that the lover wants to be taken however you'd like it with few limits."
"
It is a great video with slow motion stuff and dressing up etc. Hurrah."
"Scissor Sisters' electro-pop defined mainstream music in the Noughties."

Did they not do this on their first album ?
And their second ?
There is a severe case of typecasting going on here .
This is Scissor Sisters by numbers . . . .
Pleasant song , but the world has moved on from your first 2 albums . This will not be a big hit , because it sounds like you are treading water , and we have heard it many times before , and quite frankly , Lady Gaga now does it better , with bigger hooks and better songs .
Time for a rethink.....

That leaves Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Babydaddy, and Del Marquis.

However, only four of them appear in their videos post-'Ta-Dah!'... so that's Wikipedia for you.
