WAT TO GO JOE.

Sports Personality of The Year last night....

... Calzaghe of course had to win. No matter how popular the Hamilton may be you can't vote a none world champ over a world champ, surely that would nay be right.

It was a bit of a giveaway though when they cut to Las Vegas "in case" Calzaghe or Hatton had won when clearly in shot for everyone to see were the two trophies in question. Ha ha.

The biggest moment for me, one which I could barely see it through the floods of tears, was Bobby Robson's standing ovation followed by his speech. The speech of a true statesman, unhurried, meaningful, poignant and of course funny. Hats of to Sir Bob.

The Christmas tree selling went well over the weekend, surprisingly well considering the weather, thanks to everyone who pitched up. We're there again next weekend. Do come down and part with your hard earned cash for a much goodly cause.

Yes I did stay up to watch the fight on Sunday morning. Yes it was worth it. Yes I was gutted. Yes I was knackered for the rest of the day as a result.

And what else ? Oh yes, off to a gig tonight, Led something or other, apparently they're pretty tight.

The Xmas factor kicks in this evening on DRIVETIME, buckle up - ten shows to go to the big ho ho.

Hope everything is swell in your world.

CLP.

Congratulations on your selling over the weekend Chris.

I hope you took the Blogs comments to heart and wore tights under your trousers - they really work honest!

I am sorry that I haven't been around much - I have a note and I have been reading the comments but I have been up to my eyes in work and a few days off and the dreaded flu job gave me mini flu which I am still kicking off.

The good side is that my home broadband is now back up and running so I will enter more into the spirit (rum, barcadi, brandy etc) of things.

Regards to all and hope you get better gingembre.

Oh Led Zepplin how fanstatic. I saw them many moons ago at the Kings Hall in Manchester. I am not one for name dropping, but got to meet the great Robert Plant who offered me a bottle of beer. I was only 15 at the time and my reply was No thanks I don't drink.... however I have made up for it since.

    Rock on Led Zepp.

    Good Afternoon.

    Yeeehaaa - here comes Christmas!!!!!

I have a date tomorrow night at a nice restaurant. HOWEVER, I have just looked at the website for the nice place and I don't like ANYTHING on their menu!

That's not a good start, is it? As well as that, I sort of regret making arrangements, because to be honest, I'm not sure I want to continue with this dating lark and it feels a bit wrong to go out with the guy tomorrow, knowing that I probably won't see him again.

Ah well, you never know, I may be swept off my feet (although I DO know that's highly unlikely) and make plans to see him again.

    Nothing ventured... ;-)

Oh Christophe, so TERRIBLY sorry, but I am really not into any sort of sport...although I am always proud if we win something...obviously!

Am well up for Christmas...would have been just a tad more up had I made it through the filter and got on to ARF just gone, but hey ho, enjoyed it just the same! And my Vivaldi concert to wot I went was sublime and very festive making too! My arms are still aching from all the clapping which is a tad worrying as I thought I was fitter than that.

Anyhoo...DWNB you intrigue me...Phoenix...good to see you pet, and you have a note too...and Plum, binna long time sinsi rockunrolled etc...you could have sold that bottle on 3bay!

    All those missed opportunities

    Hi people :

On the subject of "Xmas factor", I see from
skimming the papers that you ones south

for an infamous soft drink which is a skit
on "The Snowman" cartoon / walking in the air
that ran in Scotland last year. It's very clever.
I think I "posted" a youtube link at the
time. Took me umpteen watches before I
noticed Nessie even made an appearance.

If you want a "sneak preview" (although it
DOES look heaps better full-size on TV) or
indeed just want to watch it again, try :

which allegedly lets you download it (I can't
try it here, our server will block, so I don't
know if it will play full-screen-size) or try :

Sammie - hope the meal goes ok, just go with the flow, enjoy the evening and see what happens?

missy - you'd never be disowned sweetie x

Hope everyone has a lovely day, went on the works 'doo' last night to Mambo's and beyond...

Morning all. Feeling much better today after a night on the wagon (apart from one beer - what can I say? A fridgeful of cold Corona is lethal).

Am waiting with baited breath for Friday when I found out whether I passed my OU Literature degree. Fingers and toes crossed.

Sammie - just have fun at the meal. You never know, you might end up falling for him. If in doubt, order soup.

Gingembre - a soft drink hangover? How awful - it's like the worst part of a night out minus the best parts Come on you Spurs!
