HOW ABOUT A RACE BEFORE FIVE.
Alright listeners, well more readers of the blog really, you have one hour to...
... have a stab at picking the first record for tonight's ALL REQUEST Friday. I'm just fresh back from a. - Richard bacon's wedding. He was very funny, she looked absolutely gorgeous...and b., the novocaine happy dentist. However this does mean that we ahve time for a bit of fun with the first disc.
Cheese only please. Think Gilbert O'sullivan, Bazza Manilow, Olivia Newton John etc.,.
So, come on then.
Now, had a big old tooth clean and a proper half hour drill and fill with Dr. McCavity and got to watch the first hour of Gladiator through some special fear averting glasses and head phones (they really work!). The affected gum area was numb fopr a while but the main thing I've found in the last two hours is that my bum has started to hurt really badly. What's all that about ?

If you use it, could you dedicate it to Vivienne, Jordan, Jotham and Kyrie please?

Cheestastic show, Christophe!
Can you pleeeease play when we get behind closed dors by Charlie Rich? It reminds me of my oldest friend Vicki who I haven't heard from for ages. Her very scary mum used to play this and sing along when we were about 8.
PS Vicki is actually Tony Hadley's cousin!

Chris, So you are getting a puppy tomorrow - Good effort!!!!
Nettie(my wife) and I are passionate about feeding dogs and cats essential good food. Please give huge consideration to feeding RAW food to the pup - you will not regret it. Raw meat and Raw vegetables and NO carbohydrate in the form of mixer. When dogs were wild animals they killed their food and the first thing that happened was that they ate the partially digested veg and fruit in the animals stomach. The then went on to eat the offal and muscle and then the bones. So you replicate the diet with raw minced meat that includes bone and cartiledge as well as pulped fruit and veg. When pup has got the hang of it you can feed chicken carcasses(Yes you can!!) lamb ribs and nice marrow bones. Please come back to us if you need further info and we can steer the pup in the right direction. Bring 'em up slow. ARR! Brain & Nettie PLATT

Oaft,
You know I was driving home when you were started, and I desperatly wanted to phone in for
a. Go West, We Close Our Eyes
b. Barry Manilow, Even Now, or Copacabana
c. Footloose, because that's what I'm dancing to this term at tap.
I didn't know this was happening... you didn't post til 4, and I was deep in reconciliation by then.
Bummer.
I love Bring me Sunshine too.... I love it to death. I have a video of my 6'3" son, sitting on the couch 14 years ago, singing along with a tape recording of Eric and Ernie complete with plug in mouth.
I think I'll post it on my blog. People deserve to be loved by it!

Friends,
Dancing on Ice is apparently on a sunday rather than a saturday (this series). Strictly results are also on a sunday rather than saturday. Are other progs going to follow this frankly worrying trend.....
Will we be seeing Ant and Decs Sunday Night Takeaway ( or will the sunday evening spectacle be the leftovers of the saturday takeaway?). Will we be seeing Sunday Night Live, the saturday lottery moved to a sunday, Sunday Kitchen, Match of the (Sun)Day...et cetera, et cetera.....but the most worrying of all my friends is Gillette Soccer Sunday!!!!....a day late and all old news.......

Oh my god I don't believe it but I just phoned my son's girlfriend and cleared the air.
For his sake I didn't know what else I could do. For anything that I have done wrong by him I have that I have now put right.
I told her that we needed to start from scratch and put it all behind us. I asked her to keep on at him to get a part time job so he could afford to go out with her more. A cab to her's costs £20! We can't always give him a lift/pick him up.
I explained that me and his dad still have certain views that won't change and she, I think, accepted this.
Hope that I have done the right thing!
Love to all

Debbie - if it has made you feel better then you have done the right thing. You now have the upper hand as well, because you have shown that you're the mature grown up! Well done. x

Mornin' - first time poster long time listener/lurker etc.
Chris - you're not doing your old family tree are you? Or have they signed you up for the next series of 'Who Do You Think You Are?'
I'm a wee bit obsessed - started tracing mine just after Christmas and it's keeping me up at night (not to disparage my husband of course!). So far it's a long line of gardeners, pity the talent isn't genetic, I think I've inherited the talents of the 'long line of bored office staff'.
So there, nailed my colours to the mast - CLP has come over all genealogical-like.
Hi to all the lovely bloggers :-)
M - don't think I would ever want to split my boys up, however much they would like me to! I hope that one day they will be best friends, although they don't think so!
Debbie - well done, I think to make friends with the girlfriend is the best idea. Hope it works out for you.
Had this horrible fluey thing for days now, this is a very sickly household. Hope you are all happy and healthy.

Hi everyone,
For some reason, there's quite an old blog under the "recent comments" - so of course I couldn't resist reading it!
Oh, the names that used to be on here - Soozy Woo, Ms Mayhem, Abigails Diva, Cake, Eleanor's Mum, Joseph McCrumble, Tickle in Cork, Sigh not Simon and last, but certainly not least, Roberto Carlos Alvarez-Galloso, CPUR!! Greetings to you all! Hope you are all well and perhaps lurking from time to time!
Happy Monday all, and welcome to Nitooz!

Ello Ter CLP & ALL,
Bingo Star ere.
CLP - Talkin' 'ow about a race...... it's a nice day for a race...... The 'uman race!!!!!! Or is it?
(Sorry but got a few things need ter get off me chest - DON'T READ if yer don't want ter be alarmed & I ain't talkin' burglar protection alarmed ere!)
Only thing blog friends sorry ter say this & on a Mondee but the 'uman race is gettin' in a mess at pres.
Nostradumus's predictions of economic 'ard times & some of mine which i've writted last year ere are coming true slowly but surely.....
A Big World Recession/ economic 'ardship, ave I spelt recession right? One 'C', currr..... cerrrr or two?
Can't remember..... but any way all this big greed & world debt bubble is all going pop now sadly...
But it is for the better as in about five years tme the boom times will begin again making things good for people who 'avn't got badly over stretched now & more importantly for the future generations. I mean 'ouse prices 'ave become outta the reach of the working class & young adults, come five years time they will be able ter buy without 'uge debt - 2012 is the year that I predict the recession, stockmarket bear market & 'ousing crash will end.
Many say 'old on the 'ousing market ain't crashed yet, or a recession started - I believe we are at the start of a big (sorry am talkin' financial matters ere, should be using posh words like a financial analyst would - nowt terdo with the rear - analyst) prelonged bust period lasting for five years. Yes prelonged is posher!
So all is gonna be well as long as the ice caps don't melt more in five years and flood London or the 2012 Olympics.
Maybe the goverment should be building the Thames Barrier, 'igher, instead of throwing money at greedy building contractors in the same area - quite ironic if the area of the Olympics is the same area that will flood first!
I'm all for The Olympics & celebration of sport but nowadays it's all too commercial & money making greed blog friends.
The biggest winners at the games are the owners of large constuction firms who win the building contracts - know what am sayin'!!!!
Mind you, no need ter build it 'igher if we could all stop polluting & use electric cars - a year after some of me blog comments about te brilliant new Electric Smart car - WERE IS IT?????
Are somehow these great new vehicles being 'eld back from us?
I'd but one ter save me paying 110per litre for diesel alone, global warming or not!!!!!
Call me cynical but there's no fuel duty in electric - maybe the greed is worth more than the planet.
Mind you if Lonodn does get flooded, I did say IF, and IF some of the scientist are right about there's enough water from the ice caps ter fill an area the size of the Atlantic - it's gonna cost alot more in the long run when London is under water - sadly though this is the way The 'uman Race is a flawed breed.
SORRY but needed ter get it off me chest!!!!!!
I'll try & cheer everbody up later when I tell all on the later blog about me misunderstanding/ incident with Danni Monogue when I auditioned for the X-Factor!!!!!!
That's if CLP & The BP let me!
Chow!
I'm off ter try & chill & listen ter some..... errrr..... Greenday!
Hello!!!
Afternoon Schloggers! Guess what, guess what???? I'm going to rock and roll dance lessons tonight with my mum! She's really good, but I'm not and have the co-ordination of a blindfolded giddy elephant! Should be a laugh anyway!

Back to the coalface now...

Good greef and for crying out loud...
Today is supposed to be the most miserable day of the year...the selection of music (so far) being played by Radio2 is doing little to dispel my maudlin...
Adele - Chasing Pavements and Abba - The Day Before You Came
...from Mr Vine...just to prove my point...
DEAREST CHRISTOPHE!!! PURH-LEEEEEEASE say that you are going to be your happy, jolly and all-round good cheerful self this evening, else we'll all be sobbing into our pillows come bed time...
...and Tinsel...you bad girl...or would you be, given half a chance???

Hi nitooz!
Well done Debbie!
Yo CLP & ALL,

PS I'll bang me X-Factor audition misunderstanding I 'ad with Dannii Monogue on the later blog - just 'ope it cheers everyone up & if the BP did jump outta the window.... Sorry!
M - yes, do it!
Debbie - should have held firm!
Everyone else, yep, fed up today and biting back.....

Howdy bloggers, hope it's not all doom and gloom wherever you all are....
Got back from Manchester last night and I'm sure I was fed a caffeine-laden mocha at the service station rather than de-caff so I didn't sleep much last night. However the house contracts are signed and today they should be exchanged and next Thursday should be completion date. Saturday was a rather emotional and traumatic farewell to our first house but I am over it (well I would probably be if I had any energy left to feel anything with) and we'll soon have a little pot of money to buy a car with! Hoorah, hoorah... Next job is to find another house so we don't have to keep renting... It will be nice to be debt-free for a few months at any rate.
Good job Debbie for making up with the g/friend! That must have taken a good lot of courage, but I'm so pleased for you. Hope that makes things a little smoother for you all.
Smilesy - I wish I could find the motivation to get outside and go running! I'm supposed to be training for a 10k run this summer but what with wanting little ones and all I've kinda got conflicting interests.... Doesn't help that the weather is just so miserable, and I've never been one for liking the rain much (unlike a friend of mine who prefers the rain to the indoors). Hope your knee recovers soon, and good luck with the training!
Hello nitooz, from one newby to another :)
And Tinsel - I was really looking forward to bedtime last night until the husband developed a nasty cold on the way home from Manchester :( He is a proper poorly pig now, and has shuffled off to work today feeling very sorry for himself. Ah well, no quickie for me before bed tonight either I suspect...
;) Here's to 5 o'clock and a definite improvement to the day!

We-hell then...to those of you who know that for reasons of my own, I am not one of Steve Wrights biggest fans...BUT he seems to be doing his absolute level best to blow away the fit of the dismals I've had since about ten to seven this morning.
Thank you Mr Wright.

last but not least, our Sammie...
Ha-one, two three o'clock etc!!!
global warming is happening get over it. whether we help it or not, whether its going to take 10 years or a hundred it is going to happen adapt, the planet will survive, it has done several times already.
Dear Chris,
Well done for admitting that you were the designated driver for your wedding event on Thursday. It is a sad reflection of our British relationship with alcohol that one listener contacted you to imply that it was pointless to have only one drink.
I enjoy the show as there is a never a negative remark; you are always positive and are supportive of all opinions.
best wishes
Derek
