I WAS ALMOST THERE AND THEN...

Chris Evans | 15:13 UK time, Thursday, 10 January 2008

We got the weather forecast through...

...no test tomorrow for this wanna-be pilot.

Damn blast and bother doodle. Never mind this means I'll be even more prepared in two weeks more time, however I was up to fever pitch this morning. ready to rock and roll and all that. Plus a booze free four nights previously, I almost feel too good. I think it's time for a few ales this eve.

Had a a fairly dramatic free dream time last night. I put it down to the two huge plates of dinner I had before schlafen time.

The crossword has now gone down from one a day, (life's just too short) to one for the whole week, seven answers minimum a night. Weekends whatever but rules for the week make the rest of life better.

Back at the farm we have a barn owl ! How cool is that ?

I may discuss flying with himlater tonight.

    dear Y'all

Have been flitting here all day, and nothing posted, and then Hazelove (You Hero), spotted the calendar ... click the date, get the right posting.

I decided not to post the Dead Dog, because I still love the dead Dog, and I think if I posted him and he won, I'd be distraught that I couldn't bring him to London to meet you all.

Did you hear Sarah K this morning about the Puppy dragging in the dead cat from it's grave in the garden... it was missing her so much.... Oh Wow...

    Heartbreaking or what!

Now Friday. Many miserable attempts to post this yesterday...so, DWNB, it would appear that it works for you, and not for me...but I think that is the first time I've ever been anyones hero, so thank you for that, and I shall put my pants on outside my trousers immediately...

    SO

Apologies by the truck load if this appears more than once...but to mis-quote the blog title...'the blog was almost there and then...' it wasn't. Perhaps they need to call the handy man in with his screw driver...or if he doesn't like drinking on jootie...a big hammer...

Anyhoo, on with it. Farther up and farther in. Which I believe is a chapter in t'Lion, t'Witch and t'Wardrobe. All though of course it may not be.

The weather is blimmin atrocious. Wouldn't send a dawg out innit least of all a would-be pilot! Christophe, you stay in, wrap up warm, and take your crossword answers to a new high instead...

...otherwise you could be one down...

Sorry to hear no test today Chris - never mind it will happen and you will pass it - I have faith in your ability.

The dogs comp has been hilarious - can we have a cat one next please followed by horsey on as well - ta muchly.

I've also had problems with the blog - 502 errors mainly and then thinking the entry has gone and it doesn't appear.

This blog I didn't see at all until this morning when following Hazel's advice I clicked on the bold date on the calendar and wahey there was the blog.

Missy I hope you feel better soon - you know that you will always have good days and bad days and at least you have a really good support network and 'fella' when you need it.

    Must dash I'm at work

Just testing - I think my computer is also having a laugh, perhaps it's related to the BP! i notice HL's instructive message both to bloggers and potential crossword high flyers has been deleted - shame on you BP.
Anyway good ARF ...... what I attempted to send yesterday was: like many others my "dream" comment is wafting about in the ether somewhere.... hey ho! But - never mind having a Barn Owl...... I used to be a Brown Owl, ruffled a few feathers and reverted back to being a cantankerous old bird. It was much fun while it lasted though.

Anyone got an outboard motor I could borrow to attach to me lilo?
