ROLL ON THE WEEKEND THE KIDS HERE ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY. in a good way.

Chris Evans | 16:17 UK time, Friday, 25 April 2008

The two young boys who work on our team or unbearably....

gorgeously youthful. They are currently playing funny c.d.'s out loud and discussing which bars to go to tonight and then which clubs to go on to afterwards. They're both tall, handsome and skinny and very very nice. And they're cool ! Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I, on the other hand, am thinking about a weekend full of, well to be honest, really quite rude stuff with my wife.

"Aghhhhhhhhhhhh !"

That was them this time.

One all.

The big news at work, the tea machine is going. The cartridges are too expensive, 50 quid a pack and people losing their jobs, the two things cannot co-exist. Bravo and we all second that.

The big news at home, my new car's nearly ready, been waiting six months for it. Mum's on the mend - big time and she's 82 !

Had an Australian night at The Pub last night. People were still munching away when I left to my bed at gone twelve.

Listen, seriously, will you all please have a marvellous weekend and for God's sake do something with it.

LOVE PEAS AND MASH.

CLP.

2008.

X.

Greetings and Salutations from Vancouver, Canada,

I just wanted to wish everyone the finest and most delicious of weekends filled with fun, frivolity and good times.

I, for my troubles, am golfing after work this evening, then having a piquant meal. Tomorrow is the first day of the flat season here in Vancouver, so it is off to the watch the nags race, then hot-footing over to the footie stadium for an evening match there and some post-match tipples.

Sunday is a day of domestic bliss, a fry up, a roast beef dinner and putting the finishing touches to my plans for my trip back to Blighty next month.

HUrrah and Huzzah for life, love, libations and looking after those who you love.

Take care everyone and a wonderfulk weekend to all.

    Dr. T

tonight, I'm going to go and walk for another 10,000 Paces. 18,000 yesterday. I'm going walk my wee leggies off.

On saturday, I'm going to get up early, and walk down to the Scout hall and meet my husband who is having a sleep over tonight at Scouts!

On Sunday, my gang are all away and leaving me, and I'm simply going to be!

    Enjoy One And All.

Thanks Dan, I will indeed have a fine weekend in BC.

I hold a PhD. in Philosophy so I will allow the jury to decide whether I am a "real" doctor or not...:-)

Ah, relaxing on the couch, I remember it well. That will be me after golf and dinner this evening when I am sure I will be utterly cream crackered.

Victoria is absolutely beautiful. Great people, fine scenery and immaculately clean streets to boot. I echo your uncle's sentiments, get over there for a visit. I go there a couple of times a year from Vancouver and the ferry trip/float plane is a reason to go in itself.

    Morning one and morning all,

Had my first cuppa outside this morning. All sorts of benefits. One of them, completely unexpected. The bright coloured polka dots on my Prima*k dressing gown scared away the big greedy pigeons, which means that the robin and blackbirds can feed with much less stress. Good.

Have a great day and may the best teams win (or, failing that, may the teams you want to win win).

    Mange tout (pigeons' mantra methinks).

    Gaby

ps one of the thoughts for the day: if you are short-sighted (as I am) or long-sighted (as I am also) then don't cut your fringe under any (or all) of the following circumstances:

    a) without your short-sight specs on
    b) without your long-sight specs on
    c) having indulged in a post-prandial glass of wine
    d) in the dull light in front of your living-room mirror

I failed to observe any of the four above. As a result, I am now failing to observe much of a fringe at all.

    Hi there

Such a lovely day out today but I have had such a bad one! Started with getting a letter from the eldest's school telling us that he has been missing classes. He may be kicked out of the sixth form due to truancy if it continues. This resulted in arguements between me and Mr Debbie, why?

Then bumped the back of the car into the wall when leaving the drive earlier causing a bit of damage. I was nearly sick with the worry of telling Mr Debbie but got it over with. I've subsequently been told off and informed that the car is to be sold and he will get me a bumper car instead.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings eh?

Hope that you are all having a better day x x

  • Comment number 47.

After much deliberation I have come to the decision that you all may mention the football again.

    Yeeeeeessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I thank you

    MfR

  • Comment number 48.

I really feel for you Debbie as I have crashed our car a few times and have had that horrible sick feeling before telling Mr Ferfer and my God does he get cross like he's never done anything as stupid as that himself! We got a new car on Monday and I am dreading that first scratch that will happen one day as he will not be nice about it i'm sure of that. Just driving back from the shops today with my daughter, and a car was coming towards me on the other side of the road just missed me but if he had hit me and smashed into the new car I would have been worried about telling him, unless we were both hurt of course then I hope he would care but somtimes I wonder!!!

  • Comment number 49.

    Hi jenniferferfer

Horrible isn't it? Mr Debbie did drive into a bollard a few years ago and came home and giggled about it. The difference his, it's his money and nobody can 'tell him off'. Good luck with that first scratch and hope it's only tiny!

Well I'm steering clear of Mr Debbie tonight (pardon the pun). I've been so stressed out today, my eyes are sore and I just want to crash out (pardon the pun again!) with a glass of red wine and watch some 'put your brain in your pocket tv'
Let's see if Britain has some talent then.

    morning team

MfR - now this is why we all the love the game so much! Of course we can mention it today, well done to your boys, what a result - get in!

debbie - I've never really understood why people get so worked up over damage to cars (MfR, CLP look away!)
They can be repaired unlike people - I have been to far too many RTC's and seen some severe damage.
However your story reminded me of one of those embarrassing stories from the past...

...I was in the car park of a well known DIY chain and was reversing into my space when my eye was drawn to a v pretty blonde in her car accross the way.
Anyway I smiled at her, tipped her the wink (classy eh?) and then was brought back to earth as I reversed straight into the barrier behind me and came to a sudden stop! She laughed out loud (I could actually hear her), so I smiled sheepishly, shrugged my shoulders and got on with my day. Ho Hum!

    3 questions today..
    1. Smile sheepishly? (do sheep smile?)
    2. walk gingerly (why this term used?)
    3. happy as larry (who is larry, why so happy?)

Another intense day today what with the letter from the school yesterday. Having a bit of a struggle here at the moment, it's like a battle zone. I went out and walked for an hour and a half last night just to get out of here. Must weight myself tomorrow see if it was worthwhile!

    Hi everyone

    How are we all today?

The wedding on Friday went wonderfully well. They both looked gawjus, the venue was stunning, the food fantastic and the company second to none. Only down-side .... I overdid it a bit on the dance floor and have been limping since I woke up on Saturday morning!! That'll teach me ...

I've uploaded the pix if any of you want to see "THE hat" ... flickr.com/photos/hairpix2/page1/

Please, please Blog Police, don't delete it as I know some of the laydeeeez on here wanted hat pix.

Back at work today - the trouble with having time off is that it takes forever to play catch up. I might just be with it by home time at half five! I'm on my own today as well so I can sneakily have the radio on - yippeeeeeee!!!

Right, I have emails to read. Coffee ready, glasses on nose .... here we go!

    Laters mon amies!

PS: Just as well I'm on my own today - Mr Diva made the bestest curry ever for dinner yesterday and I think I'm a bit garlicky as a result!

I hope you sort things out with eldest son. Is he having problems keeping up? Or being bullied? Or just bored?? It's such a difficult age to reason with as well. Best of luck with it.

    Hi everyone

Debbie - if your boy is at sixth form then surely its up to him if he goes or not? If he gets kicked out then he will not get his a levels or whatever they do nowadays and have to get a full time job - end of story. I probably sound ruthless but its not your worry anymore as he is old enought to decide what he wants from life adn if a good education is not part of that you cannot force him

Also re cars - I buy my own cars and pay for any repairs myself so the only comment the fella made when I wrote one off is that he wished I hadn't crashed at all as it was very scarey as he was in the car - which is a fair point. However I had a little corsa and the jets stopped working so I tell the bloke if he will loook at it - roll forward a year and I have given the car to him as he helped me buy my new car - and he spends an hour trying to work out why the jets don't work - no interest while it was my car though!

Still he has promised to get my car ready for its MOT so thats okay.

weekend was good, back to work now but a three day weekend is on the horizon - as well as blokes birthday - any ideas for a 32 years old boy?

have a good day one and all

Beesmum, Ice Man? Are we going a bit Doctor Who here? The Ice Men used to terrify me in a way the Daleks never could! Or have I got totally the wrong end of the stick? Am easily confuzzled today as have only just discovered that, unless you are jolly quick, fruit shorties are no good for dunking. At all. Did like Mike from the Young Ones dressed in a version of ik3a's new kettle design. FAB!

And DIY carparks. When I was in one, oooh, a long time ago, I had a minor altercation with a chelsea tractor (small to55er on board). I was in my white car. He put his car into reverse just as I was pulling in behind him...and all he had to do was drive forwards...anyhoo, thanks to my car being of German oranges, I escaped with paint on his bumper. He got off lightly with a flea in his ear.

CtD, please try to fit hat over hump

'Pretty Vacant' has the kind of introduction that burns itself into your head.

Therefore, when you hear it bursting forth from good ol' Radio Two, you tend to prick up your ears.

What a fab choon for a Monday afternoon. Hat or no hat.
