BLOG 374
I find numbering the blogs a lot less pressure than naming them. I always thought the names...
...were a bit twee and if anything took away from the actual content. Happy with what one writes but not with one's headline. Oh to be a scribe.
Couple of things today. Heard someone going off on one today about the alleged night of violence in Manchester following the footie. Can't stand this, really cannot stand it. Largely last night in Manchester there was a night of harmony and carnival. Yes some police officers were hurt, unforgiveable but 42 arrests from a gathering of almost a quarter of a million, come on now, let's get this thing into perspective. I heard the vast majority of The Gers fans were fantastic, as one would expect. Some other commentator said that they should never have travelled to Manchester without a ticket for the game. Well you numpty, you don't have to have a ticket for The Louvre to go to Paris do you?
Also 'stop all football fans travelling cos' of a few idiots, does this mean everyone who lives in Britain must stay indoors until zero crime is achieved. Yes football is a funny old game watched by some strange folks and played by millionaires who still think it's alright to scream at the bloke in black who's only trying to do his job but I am sick of a certain section of the media trying to ruin everything because it's all they have the imagination to do!
Now, ahem... and calm...
Off to Italy in the morning for a tour around the Ferrari factory...whooppeee !

I get v. distressed by the minority.
I had the unfortunate experience of sitting next to a minority at a match, and held my daughter in horror as one chap totally unprovoked launched such a verbal tirade, and then physical attack on supporters. I was embarassed to be British.
I comforted the attacked supporter, but to my shame didn't speak up to berate the minority.... .I was too scared he might start on me next.
What scared me most, was that he was with 2 young boys - obviously his sons who were screaming vicious insults along with him. Yobs In Training.
And it is, these small minorities who ruin it for everyone else.

DWNB01 - why don't you like the Beatles? I am wearing my beatles t-shirt today (friday is dress down in my office) with pride ;-).
Not sure on my trousers though, I bought them in a hurray and although black, they seem a bit baggy - and in a coco the clown way - what do you think? Maybe I am too old/ fat for them?
JW this morning said that Richard alliston is standing in for CLP today - does this mean no bloggers first choice? I would have all by myself as the future Mr bagpuss has gone on a boys weekend til Monday - and I only have the furry purries for company - mad old cat woman- me ?

What a surprise no lurid advertisements but an invitation to be friends with a couple of American kids who think I am a cool dude or something. (Not a middle aged woman)
I must explain I joined You Tube some time ago to put my very own video together. I spent age’s splices and cutting and then when I added the music the sound quality was rubbish so I deleted it.
But after a comment on the Get Ready Temptations video I am now an official cool dude.

One of our best friends went to Manchester to watch the game - luckily he was at one of the other fan zones. He is completely heartbroken and embarrassed at the behaviour of those morons. I spoke to him yesterday and the fact that Rangers lost wasn't even in his brain, all he could think about was what happened on the streets. The pictures shown on the news last night were completely horrific. I don't think I'll ever forget the sight of that poor officer falling and being set upon by about 30 wild dogs posing as human beings. I pray he is o.k.
I really feel for the decent supporters who were there to support their team, they wanted to be close to them, no matter the outcome of the game. And I hope "the authorities" will do everything in their power to name and shame those evil people. Some of the pictures are so clear - someone knows them - I hope they are brought to justice.
Thanks for listening.

Thanks for the birthday wishes here and on facebook. I am looking forward to a take-away tonight more than you can believe. I may even sneak in a nice, bubbly bath first.
Phoenix, after the week I've had the thought of imagining someone sitting on the loo is just too much! Definately a downside to being the only family member close enough with a down stairs toilet. I'm sure that she does appreciate all that I have done though, she would rather be at home without broken bones herself.
Hmm I expect no first song from the blog then tonight.....that's a shame. Never mind, all sing Happy Birthday to me at 5pm instead ha ha!
Love

PS. So when are you officially middle aged then?

You old rascal. Just seen that you're off to see the Ferrari factory, you looky chap. But did you know that in Tuscany there's still wild boar dinners where hunters put on a feast, mmm! wild boar. They run until mid June, you might just catch one. Love the show, about time Sally Traffic got you dancing in the studio just like she did with Johnny Walker!
