In the main news...

...Noah has taken to sleeping for ten hours a night straight through !

Admittedly this is only for the last two nights but Tash and I are in shock. He seems perfectly happy and in fact brighter than ever. From 7p.m. to 5a.m.

He also talk constantly now and has started to blow bubbles like a miniature washing machine with the door left open. He's doing it now as I type and gurgling. The kid can't wait to be part of the gang.

He loves the cars and now has his own permanent baby seat in one of the big boys.

In other news I was at a loose end last night so I wandered off into the garden and had a cigar ! What the bloomin' 'eck was all that about ? I don't even like cigars.

Bring on the revolution.

    Morning CLP

Is Noah on the wagon? I only ask, coz I am at the mo (until this week's Blog FNWC, anyways!) and I am sleeping so well!!! It's lovely!

    Cigars? Bleugh.

Would rather have a sherbert dib-dab!

    Laters dude!

    deev noooooo

    cigars no

    sherbert no

big boys cars - yes please CLP!

Went to popular high street hiring shop for Mr Bp's grooms outfit on sat - in area to wait only boys mags - but they had a lovely hardback book on classic cars so I sat and looked at the pictures until Mr bp was ready (and looked very good looking) in his outfit - roll on the wedding ;-)

    Super bp x

PS - CLP - as an idea for raising money for chairty Im sure a few of us would put into the pot to come and look (not touch) your cars- what do you think?

  • Comment number 3.

Agree cigars bleugh and was it really your garden you went out to, or was it more like the estate you went to inspect with said cigar? Seems more fitting.
On wagon never improved my sleep but cutting down on the eveniong munchies has improved things - think that's what Noah is doing well with.
    Raining. Cheery!

  • Comment number 4.

I am a small child phobic! Unfortunately last week Big Boss's wife was struggling with some stuff and asked me to hold a small (ish) nappy wearing, dribbling (due to teething apparently) infant female human. After a minute or so said infant started coughing - "cough it up!" I said (stupidly!) whilst tapping her back - which being an obedient well mannered child - she did.........projectily(?) right across me, the floor and Little Boss's desk! Lovely!!! ;-) The smell of rennet moved with me for the rest of the day.

also having an incredibly strong gag reflex -especially to bodily fluids - I'm afraid a bubbling baby would have me retching for the skies!

Congrats on having two nights sleep - you will have to invest in a child "wheelie-bin" (well that's what we call them) to enable litttle noah to continue to be part of the gang and bruise all your shins in the process!

    Hello all.

Im back at work today and falling asleep at my desk - I'm so tired!!!

Noah sounds more gorgeous by the minute!!

Cigars - bleurgh. But whatever floats your boat (and doesn't waft over to me!)

    deev - sherbet is yuck

  • Comment number 8.

    * sharp intake of breath *

    Sherbert? Yuck??

Noooooooooo! It's delishus. Speshly the crystal sherbert that comes in black cherry or orange flavour with a swizzle stick to assist with the lapping up of aforementioned sherbert.

Or lemon sherbert crystals with an ice lolly.

    Oh yes!

Gonna head to Jamie Oliver's fave supermarcardo at lunchtime now to stock up!!!

As a friend recently commented: "sherbert, the cornerstone of any staple diet"

    ;-)

  • Comment number 10.

not for me thanks - to be fair I dont like mint/ liqurice or jelly sweets either - or that keen on chocolate!

  • Comment number 11.

Hmmm - not many peeps about today is there?

off for another mug of tea - fingers have gone stiff now!!!!!

  • Comment number 12.

CLP - good news on the sleeping through, it really does help, although I've actually only got experience of puppies, but it seems like the same principle !?

Sorry Deev, not a big fan of sherbet either, it's too sweet for me.

Also, sorry Thunder, didn't mean to pass it on....oops!

To be honest, I'm really struggling here today, can't concentrate as nose is running & keep coughing, and have a really important report to check, which I'm scared to do in case I miss something. Will have to leave it until tomorrow methinks, as it's better for it to be right.

Also have an annoying meeting shortly...why oh why?

  • Comment number 13.

Afternoon peeps - apologies for absence over the weekend, just no time to log on!

Sherbert was the subject of a comment on early morning Radio 2 today as the firm that makes Sherbert Fountains - yellow paper tube/licorice straw are planning to replace paper tube with plastic because of hygene issues around resealing the tube.

As a caller pointed out - don't we eat the whole lot in one go???

I remember eating the coloured chrystal stuff by licking my finger then dunking it in the bag, over and over.
Cue, multi coloured tongue and finger!

    ttfn, Crumpy xx

  • Comment number 14.

Ah Christophe...if you don't like 'em, whydja do it??? Eh? Eh? For m'self and the Badger, we both like a nice cigar from time to time. Having said that, it takes me about a week to finish one...

Am so glad your wee'un is sleeping the 10 hours. You obviously have different neighbours to us. Make the most of it...apparently youngsters start growing teeth at some point and tend to not sleep at all. This is hearsay I admit, but then I ain't got kinder, so I don't know from personal exp.

Anyhoo bless you all for still being here! I have been orf with a broken toe (Easter Sunday morning, walking through the Sett to change into t-shirt (so I didn't get all hot cooking brekkers), stubbed on a door frame, littlest one at right-angle to rest of foot, afternoon at A&E, strapped up, is first time out of house for two weeks having spent first week off face on co-dydramol (other face-offers available))...and I am back at work, having struggled in (by cab) wearing crocs and changing into my warm and comfy flippers when I got here o joy.

    Good to be back hallo

pss I haven't got a prayer of catching up...so please excuse! Many ts lhx

  • Comment number 15.

pppsss Crumps, I haven't had a sherbet fountain since I nearly choked to death trying to swallow it all at once (having junked the gopping liquorice) and spraying the gentleman opposite me on the train with a fine white powder.

btw toe is still broken, and still hurts...and I'm having to keep the (now getting a bit cheesy if I'm honest) bandage on for at least another two weeks...and since arriving at work, I've been told that my walking stick is too short (Peggy) and have subsequently been offered two more sticks and a crutch...but that's probably not for here!

  • Comment number 16.

Hazel, can you Fabreze a toe bandage or sprinkle a little 'Shake n Vac' !

I too remember giving the licorice straw a mighty suck and having the white powder hit the back of my throat!!

You feel like you're going to collapse a lung with all the subsequent coughing! lol

Oh, and I didn't see Jamie Oliver. Pah!

And, by the way, BT delivered a Hub. What on earth????? Need 9yr old grandson to sort it out.

PS: A very voluble man, who sounded rather Asian but was called Tyrone!!!!!!! sold me the BT Vision thingy for the tv, plus the Hub. Gawd knows why I need a Hub or what it does, but the tv thingy sounds good.

    Ok, will do,

I have loads of techno stuff at work, so when i get home i just dont want to be bothered with manuals and stuff. I tend to just use the bits of things i need , and pretend the other buttons arent there,

Gave up on the video years ago.........., now the phone even gets me confused !!!!!!!!!

Rips: Haven't done any of that yet, but will organise it next week. And I must remember my car insurance.

Last time I moved (10 years ago) I forgot to let them know and I wasn't insured for 6 months!!!! Didn't find out until my Road Tax was due.

'I have Mexican Pork in every restaurant I visit. This is the best. In fact, its too good. Once I have finished I shall pay the bill, go through the kitchen, shake the chefs hand on such a good job, then shoot him. An equlibrium has to be kept. Thats what I do I'm a leveller. Do you know what I want you to do?'

'You want me to shoot the chef?'

'No, I'll shoot the chef. I'm parked out the back anyway.'
