Happy Star Wars Day People

Chris Evans | 16:22 UK time, Friday, 1 May 2009

Just had a big meeting about...

... the Children In Need weekend and the bonus drivetime posh car tour down to the New Forest.

It'll be here before we know it. We are at the magical nine weeks and counting stage, the point at which we like everything to be sorted. I have learnt over the years that the sooner we finalise things the better and the more fun add ons we can think of in the run up rather than having to panic about the basics.

Sure the pub will still have no kitchen after it burnt down two weeks ago but we're not going to let a small issue like that get in the way.

So the meeting went well and all is good and swell.

Looking forward to the weekend. The news on the street is that we're going to all gently bake - the most of us that is.

I think we may be off to the Auto Italia car show tomorrow at Brooklands, Noah has asked his mum is it alright if dad and he sneak off for a couple of hours - so far so good.

    Hmph.

Just a quickie - will catch up proper laters from home.

So manic here over this flippin' tender so I've done the decent thing and cancelled my nail bar appointment. Gonna be a late finish here methinks!

New nails will have to wait til Chewsday.

    Hey ho.

Anyone got a hidey-hole I can borrow? Under a desk? In a cupboard? I promise to be quiet and not drink all the gin. Yet!

    Laters lovelies.

    Afternoon Chris,

Look out for Scoobs there, if you go.
I'd leave your wallet at home if I were you!

It's must be vast, the amount of planning and prep that goes into CiN, good work fellas

    ......from last blog....

.........Beez, Debs....I know I am going to regret this but, that's it, S@d it!

I've completed 8 out of 12 drawings and it has to be in first thing Tuesday.
Looks like my first thing is going tobe about 5am on Tuesday and crack on until it's done....which will hopefully be before they ring to ask where the hell it is!

Still, fantastic family call and I can't wait to spend three days doing nothing with them.

I think we may have to have a two way split tomorrow with the CMM and her clone going to see Hannah Montana, whilst I educate the mini-me in the ways of Tim Burton and his fab looking 3D fillum Coraline.

BTW- has anyone seen 3D recently....went to see Monsters v Aliens recently and it was amazing!

I'm rantin and a ravin at the mo, the toad tha t has been renting my dads house has not only not paid £700.00 rent but has not vacated the premises. the estate agents have been crap- those of you that live in rugby its ns the ones on the corner opposite the advertiser. I never thought that I'd get excited about the mention of the Rugby Obsever but it did make me home sick. Never Mind I'll be home On May 14th for A WEEK.

Any way thats my rant, enjoy ARF AND FNWC, already started here.

It's bank holiday in France and for weeks our village has been advertising "Vinde Grenier 1er Mai" so I thought great a big knees up, stalls, food, wine etc, but no the translation is vacuum attic- a freeking garage sale. I went with my freshly baked victoria sandwich and thought stuff you I'll go and eat it myself! Mind you they have got the whole bank holiday thing sussed. They have the holiday on the proper date, they have three in May and if they fall on a Tuesday or Thursday they have the Monday and Friday as bridge days. So every day is a holiday- game on. Sorry was that a bit anokakish.

I was actually in a bit of a hissy as he's not going til the morning - they usually go up to the Lakes on a Friday after work which gives me 5 days of "me" time (sorry Rips!) but this year I'm only getting 4.

If, however, I happen upon am eight-legged-freak in the house ... will be yelling for manhelp from the rooftops of Suffolk!
