Hey happy dudes of the blog.

Chris Evans | 10:02 UK time, Friday, 23 October 2009

Stunning blue skies around Heathrow as we flash by on our way in to London for an in house on stage staff Q and A with meself and Kirsty Young at BH.

Tired from watching the late QT show last night and up early with yee little one by the name of Noah. Think we may have had the best of the day as the mist was hanging magically over the garden at the same time as daybreak was having one final stretch and a lazy yawn.

I almost feel sorry for politicians on days like today.

Now you good people have a nice weekend now !

    Morning Chris

A Q&A - nerve-wracking?!?! I used to hate those when I had my recycling job. I could answer most things (girly swot, me!) but there was always some smart-alec in the throng who wanted to out-smart the presenter and show off their in-depth knowledge of all things tree-huggy.

The early morning mist has now cleared here in Essex and we too have blue skies and a bit of sunshine.

Just about to escape this madness and head to Bath accompanied by your good self and the remainder of your book.
You'd better make me laugh.....I need it!

You seem to thrive in an interview environment (certainly the case with OC the other morning),you seem to enjoy it...and why not?

Had to chip in on the intimate venue topic.

    Three of the greatest gigs I have seen were in such places;

1987 Guns n Roses, old Wardour St. Marquee.

2009 Chickenfoot in the sweatbox that is the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Can't for the life of me remember the year, but Suede were awesome down in Brighton, first outing post-Butler, so I'm guessing 94ish.

Oh, and I'm rather looking forward to seeing Green Day this weekend too.

Shame it isn't down my local pub.

    Peace + love

Seza: I KNOW!! Incredible as it may seem, he was out for the count. I became aware that he was really, really quiet and I thought "oh dear, he is hating this, for some reason". Then, I thought, well that's his problem, because this is fantastic. And then I took a really good look at him .... sound asleep! For about 20 mins. He was horrified when he woke up, and during the interval had a few glasses of water - apparently the heat of the hall hit him, and knocked him out!!

And what a fantastic show - Jools Holland is an utter genius IMHO!

Hi SBP - I'll forgive you for ignoring my ARF!!!

See if your local college has any day courses for the 8 week duration and if there is anything that interests you. It is half term this week and they might do something fun in the weeks leading up to the C-word thingummyjig.
Do some volunteering in a local charity shop one day a week, or meals on wheels or something similar.
Does your church run any groups during the week you could help out with for the period running up to C-mas?

Would you believe the beloved OH has just rang me (bearing in mind we go away tomorrow) and he appears to have succumbed to the flu that middle man had at the beginning of the week. Buy to let buying their house. They are buying a bungalow to make it easier for my daughter to get around and the people they are buying off are emigrating!

So why the **** have they not completed their purchase yet and so are still waiting to collect the keys which involves a 15 mile round trip before the removal men can start lugging in the furniture.

Do solicitors do it to wind people up on what is a stressful occasion anyway.

Cheryl: how I would love to dance. My lovely daddy tried everything to teach me the Waltz prior to my wedding, but it was just impossible. My brain could not compute what I was asking my body to do! Years ago, MrS and I gave it go with the old ballroom dancing thingy. Week after week we went along, being taught by a married couple who had won all sorts of awards for dancing. Eventually, the man taught me, the lady taught MrS -all to no avail - they had to admit defeat!

But, you know, I have a wee sneaky feeling you would be good at this - you should discuss further with our lovely Mary - she is an incredible dancer!

Aha, you're up early too CLP! Have seen some fantastic sunrises on the way to work lately, fair makes you smile :-)

Hello everyone, please excuse my absinthe, stuff going on here which is not fun at the moment. Suffice to say, another bereavement imminent. And I'm loaded with the cold...

Anyhoooooooo... Cheryl, thanks for the heads up re the clocks, had totally forgotten! Ooh, does that mean an extra hour in bed on Sunday? Or one hour less. Dammit, 35 years old and I still can't figure it out!

Nic #6 - was just reading your post when said fantastic tune started on the old itunes :-)

Deev/Nic/MfR, unlike you lovely folk, I haven't been to many gigs. But I did see Hue & Cry in 19(something) doing an accoustic set in a small hall in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Front row seats, could hear Pat Kane singing without the mic, flippin' amazing!!

Eb, how did you get on at the interview?

Deev/MfR, just a weeeeee bit green here, hope you both have a great night!

Chrissie #49 - I'm taking Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - and yes, I do plan to enjoy myself hehe.

Deev #55 - why am I not surprised that you have jazz shoes :-)

Right, off for another glass of vino - purely medicinal of course, I've got a bad throat you know!

    AF, lovin' your work xxx

    Evening sportsfans,

Shame on you Beez! What with your butcher up the road....I haven't been allowed to eat mince since I met the CMM....she insists on buying Braising Steak and doing it herself.
She has her ways, bless her.

Boleyn - I presume you are collapsed in a heap like a certain teacher that I know?

    Barney - good work fella!

Nic - good toes - naughty toes!!!! Or is that ballet?
