Two Blogs In One Day.

Chris Evans | 06:28 UK time, Thursday, 10 February 2011

Forgive me disciples of the blog. Tis I, Evans The Scribe here. I will blog twice today to make up for my absence yesterday.

Today is Noah's second birthday. He was uncharacteristically quiet for the preceding twenty four hours, which I have since put down to the fact that he is concerned about his age. You see, it's tough for a one year old because when they are two, they have doubled their age.

This is the heftiest ageing any of us experience - a whole doubling of one's years on the planet, something that never happens again. Sure we get older, but only by two percent when we reach fifty for example.

Today Noah feels the weight of a whole hundred percent.

Anyway, I think he may be over it by the time I ge home today. Jelly and ice cream are an en excellent diversion when it comes to fretting about most anything.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning everyone from what looks like shaping up to be a beautiful sunny day (just like the one described in yesterday's blog), when yesterday's blog appeared, the description couldn't have been further from what I was looking at out of the office window, however today is quite different.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the lovely Noah.

I haven't really had anything to contribute but I have been lurking as usual.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Happy Birthday Noah!!!

I'm 25 in April and it's really funny because normally getting older doesn't bother me but I realised a before Christmas that nearly 10 years ago I was taking my GCSEs that's just weird. Also before Christmas I met up with a friend who I used to go to school with and we were talking about how life had changed only to work out that we became friends about 10 years ago (she moved into the class I was in at the beginning of Year 10 (Sept 2000) and we sat our GCSEs in the Summer of 2002) ARGH! lol

Oh well I'm quarter of the way to 100 and my Great Grandma made it to 95 so thats the target! Woot! (Then again I could get there and not remember who I am seeing as my Great-Grandma had Dementia - but that's okay because I'll just be a mad crazy old lady - it's all good!)

    Hello & Hello CLP.

    ***Happy Birthday Noah***

Maybe little Noah is quiet because he's saving his energy for later when the fun begins. Having said that the whole of life is fun for a two year old. I bet you are looking forward to playing with his toys too Chris, we all love to return to our childhood and this is a great excuse.

I'm now thinking about b uying myself some lego ha ha! I love it!

Enjoy the jelly and ice cream!

    Hi everyone:

Just having a wee read through - what a lovely blog today, so far, for gorgeous wee Noah.

Tinsel: yes, wasn't it a great day here when Noah was born? So, so exciting!

Maddy, I might buy myself a wee china tea set ... I loved the one I had when I was six!

Well, we got our wish and it is a lovely day here in Glasgow - still cold, of course, but much milder. The reward I received this morning, for wishing for mild weather? A huge spider in the bath! Aaaarrgh!

Cathmel - saw your message yesterday, will send you details on fb but please don't feel pressurised to come :-)

everyone else - I have a day off yesterday, guess how I am counting down the hours today!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH xx

Why did I say Noel? Where did that come from? I'm going to blame the powdery lemon drinks again that I'm taking for my flu-type lurgy and the fact that I've hardly slept due to a barking cough.

MTF and Baggy: ooops! Not to worry, we'll pay the price for this day, I just know it!

Jillygoat: I didn't even notice that! Sometimes we write something and then read it back, and think - what?! I know I do it all the time!

    Keith: lovely to see you.

  • Comment number 37.

CSN, thank you x I'm ashamed to say I'm still in my jim-jams .... I really should get a wiggle on!

The only toy I've still got is my favourite doll, Belinda, although she's been consigned to the loft now for years! Oh, and I've got my collection of Enid Blyton books, most of which are originals and which I can't bring myself to part with.

Maddy: oooh, I loved my doll's pram! I have a fantastic photograph of me and my gorgeous mum, taken when I was about 6 or 7. We are in the park with my pram and doll. My mum was wearing a beautiful matching dress and coat, and gloves! Must have been a Sunday - people wore their "Sunday best" then!

Yes, I know what my mum was wearing has nothing whatsoever to do with the doll's pram, but that's my memory of it!

  • Comment number 41.

as far as toys from childhood go, I don't have any thanks to my parents divorce, things being thrown away and the fact I was kinda homeless and nomadic for three years!

However the wonderful mr bp has replaced my baby cheerbear and I have bingo beaver from the get along gang so I'm doing okay

And yes I am a child of the eighties and proud!

  • Comment number 42.

Dull, dank, dark, drizzly, diabolical, that's the weather down south today. Chrissie, stop laughing at the back, I know you are getting your revenge!:-))

Child of the eighties? Not me, but my children were!

Baggy - you'll look divine dahling!! The fluorescent colours are definitely de rigeur ...

Loved the Big Fat Gypsy Wedding programme this week. Couldn't get over Paddy & Roseanne's house - it was absolutely immaculate and state of the art, although a tad 'over the top' for me!

It's raining here in east Kent - boo, but have finally got myself dressed - hurrah!!
