Vassos, our new sports guy...
...runs - a lot.
Not only does he run, but get this - he "loves" running.
He even has different days for different kinds of runs. Wednesday is his long run day; he also has quick run days and hill run days.
He is the official running man. I, on the other hand, don't run.
But I have promised him I will today. How, when or where, I have yet to decide.
But I will not welch on the deal.
There may even be photographic evidence to prove it, there also may not depending on how big, pink and puffy my face is.
Peace and Love

Christophe, I started running again around my 40th birthday and I am hooked.
Yes, somedays it hurts but in the main it's brilliant. Mind your knees etc, we're not young spring chickens anymore.
Whether it's a light jog in the countryside, a long run in preperation for a race or the feeling as the finish line appears like a vision of beauty at a race - the feeling (for me) is awesome. Earphones are a must though (again, for me)
I've even organised my own 5km (3miles) run locally in aid of a charity close to my heart. I can't mention it on here as each time I do I get 'modded' but if you and/or Vassos fancy it then contact me.

So last night I went out on the Harley with my mate Rick, what a buzz. It really is quite exciting to be all leathered up, hanging on for dear life, as we whizzed along motorways and country lanes (ok perhaps not whizz). We also stopped at a bikers cafe to chat to the lads and lasses and admire the bikes. Although I did feel a bit like a fish out of water, afterall what do I know about motobikes! A fab time was had.
Then this morning I went to a breakfast meeting of a local Rotary Club to talk about the charity I work for. Free bacon butties and Danish patries all round; and there was me thinking my life was a bit dull and boring ;)
I've had a text from csn, and she said they had a lovely evening. I am sure some of them will be on here soon to tell us all about it - wish I could have been there.

Just had a real treat. Boy1 watched Gino di Campo this lunch time and has just cooked us the spaghetti dish from the show - delicious!!
There are advantages to them growing up!
Good to hear such a grand time was had last night - it's good to get together with friends
We have a picnic planned for some school mums week after next - hope the weather improves a bit
Never been on a motorbike though I wouldn't mind it. I had a chance to go on a friends bike once but as I was really quite pregnant at the time, Mr Sezza suggested it might not be a good idea!

Mr CSN and I would like to say thank you to, Chrissie Annie, Mary, Debs and Gail and David for a wonderful evening last night.
I had a bit of a hangover this morning, maybe it was that last nightcap that did it when we got back to the hotel with Debs.
I have put some photos on FB.
Ali, glad you enjoyed your ride on the Harley. xx
Annie, no rain here tonight. xx
Pen, Annie is nearly as mad as me. xx
Sezza, that was nice of your boys to cook for you. xx

Unless I missed it, I aint heard the show mention run geordie run, the tale of Mark Allison running 3100 miles across USA over the past 100 days. Have a look at what he has achieved, you should try to get him on the telephone for Friday's show! He will be backin UK before Saturday for Newcastle United's Match!
Go on Vassos, give him a call.

Done the only sort of running I do these days... I have run myself a bath. Walking, yes (preferably on a fairly level surface); running, no. As someone else commented earlier, boobs do tend to hinder any running tendencies.
I decided I've earnt a soak in the tub tonight as I really need to unwind. Got the girls coming over this weekend, so this is my last chance to have some time to myself and try to relax. This week seems to have gone on forever at the grindstone, so it'll be jolly nice to hear the candyman in the morning and prove that it's nearly over.
Hugs to all in need of one

I've benn looking at the photos of the Glasgow meet on fb, it certainly looks like a great time was had by one and all. It's good to hear that you are all mad, it's the only way to be.
Sezza-hope you enjoyed boy 1's spaghetti dish. I watched Gino on Tuesday and then decided to make his fridge fritatta. It didn't look quite the same as his but it tasted good. In fact, it didn't look anything at all like his ha ha!
Weather improving here today!

I believe Mark Allison will be doing a lap of SJP at half time this weekend. He is flying back to Newcastle tonight after completing the epic charity run a couple of days ago. Nearly £79,000 raised so far. I would not believe it was possible for someone to run a marathon nearly every day for 100 days!

The bit that got me about his run is that it was never a huge media campaign, he has funded all of his expenses himself and much of his blog is dedicated to people who want to remember their lost loved ones. I'm pleased you appreciated the post, in my opinion this guy's efforts were worthy of raising a million pounds!

Lovely to hear about the running stores - I will have a look when I have more time.
To tie in with the bikes/ Charity theme one of my heros is Ted Simon and he has set up a charity to help educate people around the world, and the bring the world together. He is an amazing man and I have had the pleasure of meeting him twice.

Glorious sunshine down here in Devon I am pleased to report!
I looked after my grandson (George) last night, remember him? Can you believe he is now over 8 months old! He fell asleep in my arms and I did not have the heart to put him in his cot so I cuddled him until him mummy came home. I think this grand parenting is the best job ever?
Nice quiet weekend booked, golf Saturday morning and them sort the garden out the rest of the time. I hope the rain keep away! The only thing stopping me is the last few hours of work today.
Happy Friday everyone!
Keep smiling

Sezza, I hope you've survived the boys cooking! :)
This afternoon I am having the badger stripe removed at the hairdressers. So an afternoon of pampering is ahead. Then tomorrow I am off to Welsh Wales for a Christening and to see my gorgeous Goddaughter who is over from Hong Kong - can't wait.
