From tomorrow...

Chris Evans | 09:06 UK time, Tuesday, 11 October 2011

we're becoming a little bit more Welsh on the show - in honour of Wales' magnificent march into the semi finals of The Rugby World Cup this weekend.

Come Thursday, this will have escalated to quite a bit more Welsh.

And then on Friday we will all be entirely Welsh. Even Lord/Sir Alan Sugar.

So tips please - on an advisable gradient for this slope down which we are about to slide.

Come on Wales.

Peace and Love and Lots Of Leeks (which I adore by the way)

Good morning CLP, Team and bloggers everywhere

Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday on here, Twitter and FB. I'm still a bit shell-shocked to be honest and now have a lot to do in terms of another new business venture/potential! One thing's for sure - I'm not going to waste this qualification!

Welsh eh Chris? Well, there's been some splendid music from the good people of Welsh Wales that you could use between banter to sandwich the show together: some Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia, Dame Shirl ... and how's about on Friday giving The Candyman a day off and just once, for Wales, resurrecting The D Spot with a splash of .... Delila!

(will Lynn be able to match Sally Traffic on the Hahahas?!?!)

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Muchos Amore.

    Morning all

Well done Deevs can't believe you are genuinely surprised about doing so well, have more faith in yourself girlie everyone on here knew you could do it. Well done Mr BP too, many years of hard work have paid off and congrats to you too.

Mr Evans - Welsh eh! quite simply you need to ensure that you say "Faberloss"! alot along with the odd mention of "tidy". You need to get your daffs out too and dont forget a bit of welsh rarebit for breakfast on Friday morning. Along with lots of our lovely welsh groups/singers, maybe you can bring back a bit of Harry Seacombe for one day only....

Good Luck to Wales - I shall gloss over our so called rugby team, tut!

Quiet week here got some stuff planned for the weekend but this week mainly catching up chores and sleep.

Hope everyone else is okay and all kitchen refurbs and other things are going well.

My tip for the Wales stuff.... Why noot get Tash ter add some welsh lambs to her new calves.... most appropriate since yer both met at a golf course in Wales ;-))))))

As for sliding down gradients - easy ter find one of those in Wales also.... 'ope this 'elps!!!!!!!

Hi Chris: yes, I agree, let's all be Welsh as we head toward the weekend! I am liking Cheryl's suggestion of Delilah replacing the Candyman for just this one week, and also could we have Men of Harlech? That'll get us all going!

Crumpy: we need you here today!

mtd: I did mean to say to you yesterday - hope you are ok. xx

    Afternoon All,

And what a lovely afternoon it is as well, bit breezy but warm and the sun is almost shining :)

Blog congrats to Deevs and Mr BP, well done to you both and let's hope it is the start of magnificent things.

Some very good friends of mine are Welsh and a long time ago they made me an "Honorary Lewis Sister" so I'm using that to support Wales on Saturday. Although, hand on heart I know that if the boot had been on the other foot, so to speak, they wouldn't be supporting England. When the youngest sister got married it was during Euro 2004 and England were playing Sweden, all her "Welsh" family had Swedish football shirts on!

But I hold no grudges - so there's lovely da-ling for Saturday :)

    Hugs to mtd {{{}}} xx

MTF, Lovely to read you xx

I've been on my hands and knees this morning gaffer taping some boards to a floor for a new project that I am involved in. It is very exciting. And this afternoon I am off to London to a Trustees meeting for the Zimbabwe project - it's all go I tell you. I shall be glad when the weekend comes.

Hi Chris, I third the idea of Delilah instead of the candyman on friday! How about a bit of Ruth Jones or "stacey" as the mystery guest - although it wont be a mystery now will it! DOH! And what about having a Welsh breakfast delivered?

Right not really here - have a very "diplomatic" email to write to our US legal team....

    Ooo isn't it dark!!

Yes, yes, yes to a bit of Delilah on Friday - what a treat that would be

Hope Lord SrAlan Sugar is a morning person - I think he may be a touch grumpy sometimes!

    Anyone having tagine tonight!

    Hi all

Thanks for the hugs and good wishes - I'm fine really just a bit grumpy coz I'm stressed about the house thing - we're still no nearer knowing what's wrong (I chased the surveyor on Friday and he still hasn't rung back!!!).

On to other matters, I'm an eighth Welsh (my great grandfather came from Wales) or does that make me a sixteenth Welsh???, does that count? I fifth the suggestion of a revival of the D spot on Friday what else could be played (a good singalong song for supporting rugby as well).

It is dark but muggy here - it actually got warmer from when I left work to when I got home from shopping an hour later.

Not having a tagine here, it's chilli night (cooked on Saturday and frozen, so all I need to do is bung it in the microwave for 20 minutes and I am trying some microwave basmati rice for the first time)

Congratulations to Mr Baggy and Deevs for their achievements.

    Evening each

Don't know much about Wales to be honest, but I do know a rather nice blogger from that area.

    I sixth the Delilah suggestion.

Good luck with the house mtd, hope you get that surveyor soon.

Sezza - bite your tongue!!! Have had a lovely day with gorgeous little boys. Went to the local garden centre to look at all the Christmas stuff - bah humbug.

Got the car washed too and found, under the dirt, two - yes two!! scrapes on the doors. Had to be at the park & ride which has hardly any room to park.

    Might be a blackberry sezza.

Yep tis the bl***berry (I thought I'd get modded for advertising). I use it to keep up to date with tw***er and facecloth during the day.

OH, heard about the fruit failure on the news now I think of it!

Haven't dared venture to the garden centre recently. I'm sure it will be scarily festive

The poor liddle burdies are queuing up by the feeders though so I think I'd better get stocked up!

Boo to the scrapes - they just seem to appear out of nowhere!

    Hi All

Just thought I'd pop over the fence to see how everybody is, as I have an unexpected evening in on my own with a convalescing (sp?) dogpoppet. He's fine - he had a minor op on his back today, and he's feeling a bit sorry for himself but the vet assures me he'll be back to normal by tomorrow. It's been lovely to have a couple of visits from Bingo 'next door' recently - remember, you're all welcome any time.

Welsh is it? Rumour has it Mr B's ancestors were chased over the border into Shropshire, for sheep stealing... Well, we do have a Welsh surname. I can't do the accent though - it comes out all Indian. Wouldn't mind a bit of Delilah on a Friday morning - top suggestion!

  • Comment number 18.

Hallo Deebee, nice to see you.

Am just writing a list for Friday - wellies, walking boots, hot water bottle, jumpers. Would be nice to add sunscreen but I don't think it'll be necessary.

    Oh, should add gloves, scarf....

    Hiya:

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing.

mtd: yes, this must be very frustrating for you regarding the surveyor. Fingers crossed everything will be ok, but it is always a worry until you actually know what the problem is. xx

Bids: sorry to hear about that leak - Hopefully there has not been too much damage - water damage can be a real b*gger. xx

Maddy: good to see you - I was wondering how you are.

Deebee: always lovely to see you here. Hope your wee doggy is much better today.

Annie: that's an excellent list you have made for Friday. Unfortunately, you are going to need everything on it! Don't forget to pack some Merlot, too!

Lady T and Katrina: welcome to the blog - hope you will stick around.

Cheryl: a wee late night does us good sometimes ... well, that's what I tell myself!

Hope everyone has a good day.

    C xx
