Three for one...

Chris Evans | 13:07 UK time, Friday, 4 November 2011

...it was a special offer. Three Strictly stars on the same show. All different and dynamic in their own way. Anton, James and the fabulous Flavia. What positive energy! It's no hocus pocus this energy thing. The studio was alive even after they had left. You really must stay away from the sappers, and hang out with the zappers instead. It really does work.

How about this for a Friday bonus BTW. My son who has had a snuffle all week asked his mummy especially could he come to town and see Daddy and his best friend Alex. Ahhh, lunch for four (and a half) in the ´óÏó´«Ã½ canteen.

Simple rules again!

Have a great weekend you lot.

Peace and Love,

CE

Aww indeed Christoff. You are a lucky man. Enjoy your lunch!

Feel like I have been with too many sappers this week so I'm going to hunt out some zappers at the weekend

Of course, Strictly on Saturday is a whole load of zap!

And A day with a load of zappers is coming up fast when we turn up again to do that phone duty

I will probably be back later, in between taxi duties, for a sneaky drink or two later. Anyone care to join me?

Great words of wisdom CLP, I find my work colleagues are real sappers but I can just ignore them and enjoy my zapper time outside of work!!

    Hello CE & Everyone.

I was just about to reply to you Chris and I see another blog! HURRAH! I was going to say what a lovely enjoyable day you had planned but now it's got even better.

I hope Noah left some bath water for you. But don't talk to me about baths, the trouble I've been having with my timer unit (heat on when water required, 50/50 of hot water for bath, etc.) Anyway after much being messed around for two weeks followed by my official complaint I've had official letter to say that they are coming to do it on Tuesday 8th. I'm not getting too excited yet as they still might go to Close instead of Road again.

Tom the cat is all better after his trip to the vet:) He has flea allergy dcermatitis which is why I've been using Frontline for the past few years. He has become immune to this and now needs the latest spot on treatment. I'm now waiting for Daisy to come in to give her one, she's fine but we need to make sure there's not one flea around.

I'm feeling AOK today! On Bingo's recommendation I went along for the first time last night to try acupuncture for my COPD and neck pain. I was slightly sceptical but kept an open mind. I have to say that it does work. After I arrived home I got rid of so much phlegm (sorry) and my lungs felt clearer and breathing easier, the neck pain was much improved and I had the best night's sleep in years.

You're right regarding the zappers and the sappers CLP. It's also true about the ying and the yang and probably if ou ying & yang is sorted we can most likely deal with the sappers in a more calm way and also enjoy the zappers more.

The rebuilding of my abode going on around me is good now, the worst part over and now just quiet pointing going on.

    Arternoon all!

CLP - can I just say how much I have missed not being able to listen to you this week, caught a snippet this am - and how much I miss Noah saying "appy 'whatever' day too. Looking forward to hearing you a bit more next week.

Not caught up yet, but agree about sappers and zappers, I myself, have had the pleasure of working for 4 days with someone in my team who is defo a zapper! Many laughs despite auditing for 4 days and alsorts of mini traumas - those of you on here who know me well know that if "somethings gonna happen" it happens to me!

And Sezza, yes, we will all be Zapping on the 18th - watch out Phil and Radio2 HQ!

    Right not really here......

    Happy Friday everyone

Loved the Strictly stars this morning. On the subject of Flavia, Christoff - see Clodagh's brilliant prayer on the last blog. Superb stuff.

This sapper / zapper thing is a weird one, I find. I can be with a talkative, excited, enthusiastic person and find them completely draining (not always, just sometimes). Then I can be with one of those calm, quiet people who just radiate positivity and energy without saying much at all. It's a stange one (or I'm the strange one, more like).

In two weeks' time we'll be on those phones, where every single one of those callers is a first class zapper. Can't wait.

    Love Barmy xx

  • Comment number 6.

I have the feeling I've been a sapper over the last 18 months and I can only apologise (should probably apologise to friends and family too).
If anyone knows how to turn a sapper into a zapper I would be pleased to know as I'm even hacking of myself these days

    Baggy

  • Comment number 7.

    Nowt to apologise for, Baggy.

This change of clock business has mucked up my wine consumption - I'm two glasses in already and it's only six o'clock (that's my best excuse yet, I think).

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

Barmy, I've just logged in to ask the exact same question. Hadn't heard about it until this morning.

    Let us know MTF xx

  • Comment number 31.

Thanks Ladies, yes, safe and sound.

I was on that stretch y'day at about 4 o clock. It was like driving a canoe than a car. Treacherous conditions and the speed limit was reduced to 60mph, although no-one was taking any notice as per.

I came off at J25 and the weather was just getting worse and worse, which I didn't think was possible.

My thoughts go out to the poor souls now and their families.

I am thankful for an early start to my round y'day. It certainly makes you think doesn't it.

I have actually only just found out a bout it on the news myself.

    Thank you once more.

    Sal.xx

  • Comment number 32.

Good to hear from you MTF. It sounds horrendous - those poor families. My partner travels along that stretch to work and back every day, but not yesterday, thank God. I think we'll all be saying a few prayers and driving that bit more carefully today.

  • Comment number 33.

    Good morning all,

morning Barmy ,MTF ,yes just heard the tragic news ,and glad you're both OK ,just Keith to sign in now as he's in that area. I feel ver, very sad for those that have lost their loved ones ,as I feel they will always be waiting for them to come home.

A quiet day hear and I'm going to have a pottering day ,and going to put my feet up early tonight.

Have a good day all, and take care out there.

    Ditto what Bids said xx

I'm off to the seaside today, Whitstable, to stay with my friend Beryl. Although I don't feel 100%, I think I might be suffering from a bit of vertigo.

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

  • Comment number 37.

So glad to hear that MTF and all are well after the nightmare events of yesterday evening. I've driven that bit of road SO often in past years on the way to our family in Devon. My heart just aches for the victims, their loved ones, and the emergency service people. x

Jasper isn't barking to me this morning. I thought I had the answer to Johnny Ball's 'Ball of Confusion' on Zoe's show and confidently texted it in... the text was read out, and Jasper woke up just in time to hear "Roo and Jasper the dog say..." only for my answer to be deemed wrong, just prior to the correct answer being given. Whoops! Jasper thinks I have besmirched his intellect... ;-)

BTW - I REALLY think that Johnny Ball should be given something in the Honours List for making maths and logic puzzles interesting and fun for my generation, and for doing the same every week on Zoe's programme (even if I always get them wrong)!

    Have a good weekend.

MTF and Keith - so glad you're both ok. I feel for the families and echo Bids comments. My Dad was killed in a road accident (many, many years ago) and I used to dream of him walking down the path. So sad.

morning Sezza,I hope that you've got that ironing out off the way,it's one of those chores that I'm not fond of myself, but if you've got the music on you'll glide through it.

Annie ,I was watching snippets of Jamie Last night ,now that wagon of his that he's travelling around in is something else isn't it ,I saw the barrels but I didn't see any bottles ;)

We have a lovely day here at the moment although they have forcast showers around lunch time .might get out and get some fresh air into these lungs today ,and I have a little bit of ironing to do but,I think i can get away with it today.

In the mean time I've got some washing in the old washer and it's nearly ready so that mean that I have to make a move.
