It's my birthday...I partied like it's my birthday

CarrieHere we go then with a birthday blog. Started the day of being 30 in typical fashion. A little jaded from the night before..decided it was going to be a painful rite of passage so aided the journey with a little rose wine.

We have finally discovered a Thai restaurant though. Brilliant! Makes a change from Italian. I was beginning to look like a Tortellini.

So the day of turning 30 rumbled out of bed at around midday. Wasn't really sure if I could face it or not so went back to bed again....So many phone calls but I didn't mind as Asa gave me a fantastic new Michael Jackson ringtone..Awesome.

Spoke to my dad, sister, Nana cousin Tim, cousin Keren, the girls etc etc..and luckily a coupple of mates had given me a card early so I had something to open on the morning. Even my Dad sent one out to me in the back of beyond and by the miracle of German post it actually got here - on time too!!!

carrierachelbbq125.jpgAfter working on Chappers and Dave Rach made me a birthday salad lunch. Felt much better after that!! We had all decided on a BBQ but then realised the German butchers shut at midday..Balls..so then German Mark and Matt were sent on an errand to the nearest supermarket..40 minutes away!! Rach and I compiled the list and the boys did good.

Had a quick trip to the pool before the boys returned. Girls were then on salad duty while Rhys, Dave and Rich the engineer took charge of the meat so to speak..Was very amusing seeing the men get all neanderthal around a fire!!

So we all tucked in and got absolutely stuffed! We set up the TV outside so we could watch the Argentina match..I had all dressed up ready to go clubbing but those Argentines and Mexicans went to extra time so by the time it was over we'd all run out of puff so no dancing this time!!

Had some fab pressies from the team - a yummy jacket that Joce picked out - she is little legend and Aled chose a pink top - he so knows my colour!!! So a very happy Carrie all round.

Took a while to crawl out of bed this morning - now 30 and one day..Still doesn't make easy reading!! Was well grim clearing up this morning too!! Anyway all that I need now to put a smile on my face is England to beat Ecuador this afternoon. I am wearing everything the same just to be superstitious!! Come on boys!!!!!

Just thought i'd wish you a great 30th year. Tried to get in touch with the show through the e-mail and sms but i'm in Sweden and it doesn't seem to work. Wanted to thank you all for the great coverage of the cup and of course a great show, it keeps me sane here in sweden. I've been here since 1990 and long for English stuff, specially the lingo.
MOre pics of carrie on the web, who wants to look at Chris and Aled, they sound better than they look, hihihih.
