Where's our tickets?
Well today we find ourselves in Frankfurt. Rach and I have managed to get ourselves some tickets at the last minute but they are being flown over from England. We are now getting very stressed and frustrated as they may not arrive in time. 2 hours 15 mins til' kick off!
If not we’re going to watch the game in a pub. Not quite the same tho hey?! Nevermind maybe we will get to another game – two more in the group stages and hopefully another game in the knock out stage at least. Its been an interesting first few days here. We had a camp fire on the first night – Rhys on his guitar pretending to be Bob Dylan. First show out the way yesterday morning – was quite a relief – had the usual nightmares that my computer wouldn’t work but Richard and Nick our engineers were legends in sorting it out. Was weird not having Dom with us.
Had a little look round our Chalet Camp - the horses are lovely – though the whole team keep teasing me about it – Chris breaking out into the I love Horses theme tune! Took a trip to the local supermarket with Rach and Joce my first experience of driving a people carrier abroad – wasn’t too hot on judging width of vehicle and almost ended up in couple of ditches! We all arrived home safely.
Then went to the pool with Rach – had a little sunbathe – Rhys came along too and jumped into the pool. His words afterwards made us think maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea to try it out. Still it got quite hot so I jumped straight in – and lets just say it knocked my breath away – so cold! Like jumping into an ice bath! Could only manage a couple of lengths until my muscles started freezing over. BBQ last night was better – we discovered that Germans do eat salad after all ,not just meat and potato.
Another early start this morning to get down here – left at half 7! Having to slap on the suncream its boiling already. Now its just a matter of waiting!.So annoying. Find out later if we get to the Paraguay game or end up being very depressed drinking beer all afternoon somewhere lost in Frankfurt.

Yay, glad you got your ticket in the end!
I managed to watch the whole match at my mate's house whilst pretending to get ready for grad ball. I actually just watched the match, then when it finished, threw on my dress and left the house, lol. Ah well. Glad you're having fun in Germany and don't let them tease you about the horses!

It certainly sounds like work not a holiday..... Although as the person at the top of comments said, you do deserve it for being the best radio show in the UK if not the world. Did you get the tickets in the end?

Carrie - did you get ur tickets in time, and what did you think of the match? My and my mate think it would be great if you and Frank Lampard get together - you'd make a lovely couple. Any chance........? Enjoy
