The idea that the team members of The Chris Moyles Show would post on here in an A-Z order was proving difficult by Day 2 when Carrie, who was meant to post, was busy working on local TV news so Dom stepped in posting AS Carrie. The order then suffered a major hiccup when Carrie returned the favour for Dom therefore leaving out Chris and Dave. Well it鈥檚 gone completely out the window today 鈥榗ause it鈥檚 back to me!

I thought I鈥檇 post because for once I actually have something to say鈥 I SAW MADONNA鈥橲 SHOW LAST NIGHT!!! And thought I鈥檇 give a little review. There seems to be 2 things that the critics throw at people who鈥檝e enjoyed the Madonna gig 1) 鈥渁ren鈥檛 the prices really expensive though鈥 and 2) 鈥渨hat鈥檚 with the crucifix? 鈥 that鈥檚 SO Madonna trying to be shocking for the sake of it鈥. Well, yes and yes. As far as I鈥檓 concerned you can鈥檛 justify 拢150 or more for a concert ticket and I know it鈥檚 her art and an expression of creativity and all but, the crucifix wasn鈥檛 exactly essential was it Madge?

The political message, montaging all the world leaders over 鈥渉eard it all before鈥 was actually quite nice and pretty clever, there were also messages on global warming and homophobia, and I鈥檓 not even going to try and read into the lady who was in a full .. maybe I鈥檒l leave that for a Radio 4 blog.

What there were lots of were amazing sets, brilliant use of the 6 screens, fab costume changes and faultless choreography between Madonna and her dancers 鈥 pretty much all the things that you鈥檇 expect from a Madonna concert just done better than you鈥檝e seen before.

Highlights for me鈥 the million-dollar-costing glitter ball which sets the scene brilliantly when it opens the show, her brilliant re-working of Music and some of her other older tracks, the dancers who perform stunning over the set and the growing anticipation over the latter half of the gig which hints at Hung Up which, when it arrives didn鈥檛 disappoint. I even enjoyed her rendition of 鈥淚 Love New York鈥 which shows how good the gig was!a

If you get to go you鈥檒l have an amazing time if not I鈥檓 the sure the DVD will be out soon and you can enjoy the political messages from the comfort of your setee!

And next week I鈥檒l be reviewing Wolfmother.

I too was at the Madonna concert on Sunday night and thought it was great. The set and the costumes were fantastic. Hasn't Madonna got an amazing body!!
The little 'scenes' between costume changes were good too.
Paul Okinfold (sorry about the spelling!) was really good and got everyone in the mood.
The down sides were that is wasn't a sell out so the atmoshere wasn't as good as it could have been. Also the really long wait before Madonna came on stage.
Altogether though, it was a really great show.

I love going to gigs and spend much time in the summer at them, but Madonna is one person i will not be going to see again. i found her relationship skills with the crowd weak and as such a big icon and being such a big fan found myself leaving disheartened and completly gutted in her performance!

Hope you enjoy the wolfmother gig. They played at Oxygen Festival (Dublin) a few weeks ago and were amzing. I am sure you'll enjoy it.

I have seen her 4 times and she never disappoints - she is a LEGEND - Cardiff was cool (apart from the wierd Welsh signs) Why is it, the English word is nothing like the Welsh? Example Cardiff should be known as Cardiff and not Caarrrweerrn (cant remember what it was)If Cardiff is Cardiff then call it Cardiff.......and there were no petrol stations open between Cardiff and Ross - we nearly had a mega stressfull trauma and the prospect of not turning up for work the next day!!!! Oh and there was some Welsh singer sat behind us called Katherine Jenkin??? Wouldnt know her if she bit me on the ass.
