Jimmy Nesbitt really isn't bad at golf

Hey there fellow blogsters as I think is now the affectionate term. It's the day back after the bank holiday and everyone's out of sync thinking it's Monday etc. But it's a nice feeling knowing that it's only a four day week! Yippeee!!!

I had a very nice bank holiday - had to do a voice over for my piece on Friday so couldn't leave the smoke as early as planned. The traffic was rubbish even when we finished editing at half seven, so went for a drink on the balcony at the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Bar at Television Centre with a few old muckers.

Anyway eventually I left the mighty London and ploughed on down the getting home at 11 and very tired!

Had an amazing lie in the next day - was meant to go running as part of training plan for the great north run but that totally did not happen! Dragged by arse out of bed at midday what a shocker - fair to say my Dad was not impressed!!

Still he forgave me and we went off to play golf at the local club...It was all square down the last but I pulled it out of the bag. Not that I'm competitive against my own Dad or anything. Let's just say I know where I get it from after he started leaping about after holing his 20 foot putt on the 3rd!!

Talking of all things golf - I went to that with Ant and Dec yesterday. It was great fun - managed a little blag into the VIP area thanks to a few people in the know.

So was earwigging as Colin Montgomerie was running through the first with Damian Lewis, and Ruud Gullit had a massive fry up before he went out!!!

Had a wee chat with Jimmy Nesbitt - he was on the show on Thursday - you can hear him on the podcast - wished him a bit of luck and all that - he was playing with the Golf-father as he's now known as Bruce Forsyth. Fair to say he looked a bit rough round the edges. He told me he'd got to bed about two but I reckon he was lying and it was more like four - dirty stopout!!!!

The Americans took it all quite seriously tho apparently staying in their rooms and not joining in the fun really. Maybe that's cos they were being seriously beaten!!

The quality of the golf was hit and miss to say the least! Made me feel a hell of a lot better about my game!! Jimmy hit a few good drives but he had a few shockers hitting out the bunkers and took out a few spectators!!

They didn't even finish their rounds till about eight and I had to drive back to London so I didn't even get to see the presentation...Boo! In bed at half 11 so only four hours sleep as I write this!! So please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors!

A great laugh tho - I now have the bug again so off to polish my swing at the driving range tomorrow!!

That Golf thing was pointless as they didnt even show any of the game on tv so all you so was the trophy been handing over and also it was a castoff from sky one because it was awful last year so itv had to buy it as they do those type of programs

Hi Carrie, love the blog.

I've never been "dragged by arse" out of bed!! Is that a sporting move?

I will put it on my list of things to do before I'm 40.
