Take That and things...

Afternoon all, it's the producer of the show Rachel here reporting in for blogging duties.

I just have to say how nice are Take That? If you missed the show this morning, they came in with their new single 'Patience'. First material in 10 years and it's pretty good. I always find it fascinating when artists bring in their new material for the first time. They always have a half nervous, half excited look on their face, particularly if they haven't done anything for a while. All Saints were the same a few weeks ago.....we had tears in the studio then! I also never know where to look as you feel like they're watching our body language to see if we like the track. I usually just stand there with a big smile on my face, probably looking very false! Not that I mean too.

One interesting observation....Jason took his shoes off during the interview, not sure why. I also had an interesting conversation with Howard about the Great North Run. He was very nice.

So, what's occuring at the moment? As Aled mentioned in his blog the other day we're off for a couple of week's from Friday. Which means we're spending the next few days sorting stuff out for when we get back. Dave has just written another installment of Lamacqanory, Aled has just read it and ended it with shouting 'No Dave you can't finish it like that!'. If you haven't heard Lamacqanory, it's a new feature we run on a Monday. Steve Lamacq reads a sweet children's story, which then always ends up going a bit wrong. It's one of Comedy Dave's finer works. Even better than king of tickets.

Right that's it for now. It's 1pm, which means I can go home soon. (I do start at 5am). Have a nice day now

Rach x

I think it's a brave tune (and good tune) for the TT boys to be putting out, it shows a proper level of maturity about their music and direction; they acknowledge that they're not the traditional 'boy band' they once were.

Rudebox boy, take note.
