The show's on holiday but the news must carry on!

Hello Bloggerloggers,

I have been working hard while my DJ colleagues lounge around in swimming pools surrounded by Palm Trees. They'll come back sunkissed and relaxed and I... Won't. Here at Newsbeat there are no palm trees. Although we did once have a Yukka. Dead now. Shame.

I did manage to go away on holiday last week though. We did lots of children stuff - things made of lego were the highlight. There's a whole land devoted to it. Imagine! Other theme parks are available of course. As all parents of young children will know - if the kids are happy - then we're happy.

Working during the day is a bit odd! I'm used to getting up very early - 4am - and finishing by lunchtime. But at the moment i'm working through the afternoon until after 5pm!!!!! it's a whole world i'd forgotten about. It’s nice to see all my colleagues but i'd rather be playing urban golf to be honest.

Any - to all workers everywhere I hope your day is fun and full and tune in next week from 7am. The rest of the team will return from the four corners of the globe. (although I think Rachel's getting the train from Kiddeminster and i'm pretty sure Aled was holidaying in Abbawristwatch).

Goodbye from me,

Dom.

No matter what they say Dom, you ARE easily the funniest guy on the breakfast show!
Followed by Scott Mills, Aled, then Comedy Dave.
That chubby one is funny sometimes too.

Dom, you're a legend mate. Keep on coming up with that weird humour of yours :)

Dom, your a legend, and an extremely funny one at that. Being a fellow Warringtonian (like Comedy Dave) i thought it was only us guys from "Oop North" that were able to produce the laughs but i must admit, i was wrong. And you, my egg head friend, are not...hurry up and get back, i miss you all and i'm finding it hard to get out bed in the morning, which means i don't make it on time to work which means i could potentially lose my job, thus losing my house...so please, for the love of God, hurry back!
Kind Regards
Gemma x

Jo, how can you say Dom is funnier than Director of Comedy, Comedy Dave? Dom is but a star-struck wannabe gazing hopelessly up at Dave with Green eyes

I think Dom is the weakest link of the show. He's not sure if he's a news reader or wannabe dj.

Thank goodness and a half you are back i thought i would possibly wither and die.
I thought i heard your dulcet tones from my radio and i gave a little scream and went "its Dom!"
Seriously couldn't you have done the breakfast show with rach , who i see is also back? It would have been at least 300 times better than scott mills - whose only good feature is laura's diary which is ending. He's so bad my Dad screws his face up and now hates scott mills probably more than he hates sara cox.
I can't wait til you come back , even though it will be the start of school. poo
Any way lots of Love come back quick
Tee Hee Mel C has just appeared

Time for the science bit.

Dom = Awesome (Fact - check your Encylopedia)

Dom x Regular airtime = Awesome regular airtime.

Dom x EXTRA airtime = EXTRA-AWESOME airtime.

As we can all clearly see Dom on the air can only be a good thing, you can't deny scientific formulae of science. Except maybe when Dom could be lounging under palm trees and so forth but this has been overlooked for the purposes of comedy.

Thought of the Day: Yay Dominic.

Hi Dom!!!

So nice to see you back! Like the thing you do with Abbawristwatch and Bloggerlogger. :P Miss you guys so much. Please come back soon. Scott Mills and co. are not bad, but they are not as chatty and play too many songs so the atmosphere is lazy and fragmented. Thanks for saying hello and enjoy the remaining days of holidays of yours!

Hi Dom,

As much as I love Scott I cant get used to hearing him on the radio first thing in the morning playing scary voices that freak me out and far too much music. Cant wait to have you guys back!

By the way I have observed that you are by far the most attractive and funny member of the Chris Moyles show.

Hi there,

Driving into work, normally 8.30 to 9.00 ish I listen to all of you - and I enjoy.

Has Scot been told to not be as good?

Apart from Billie Piper - all I'm listening to is music from 8.30 to 9.

Chris - come back!

Dom, Oh How i was missing you, then to my surprise there you were reading the news yesterday afternoon. I thought i would take this oportunity to tell you (should you read this of course) How incredibly funny you are. I am of course referring to the podcast and the DJ Anagram game-simply superb!
Dom, you are the best xxx

Hi Dom, I recently went to the land of bricks also. Queued forever (even queued for 30 mins for fish and chips!) but still had a good time. As you are clearly a fan of childrens shows I notice you hadn't ever mentioned Hi-5 on the show, you must mention it, I'm sure Chris would be interested - especialy if there was a chance to get them (well, 3 of them) in the studio.
