Christmas may still be just under a month away but for us on The Chris Moyles Show it鈥檚 already filling every minute of conversation in the office. Rachel鈥檚 working on a very special Radio 1 Christmas Party, I鈥檓 working on a Christmas day special and Jocelin鈥檚 producing a Boxing Day edition of the show.

Out of all of them has the best gig 鈥 her show is a format I don鈥檛 think has ever been done on radio before and it鈥檚 taking a lot of time to put together. Boxing day isn鈥檛 traditionally a huge radio listening day 鈥 but if you鈥檝e got a radio near 鈥 I highly recommend listening :)

Work is progressing nicely on my new 鈥淐lan鈥 idea. The thought behind it is this鈥 I鈥檝e become a fan of gaming again recently. All this talk of the new console, the 0 and in early next year has meant I鈥檝e rediscovered the joys of losing all my spare time to cute graphics and shooting the heck out of aliens.

Chris and I have signed up to each other on one of the Live networks and now he鈥檚 able to see the amount of hours I spend on it and which games I鈥檓 playing. After mentioning that my 鈥済amertag鈥 was posted on my there are now almost 100 people who can also see how many hours I spend playing the console and which games I鈥檓 playing!!

In order to do something constructive I鈥檝e now decided to set up a 鈥渃lan鈥. This therefore means on one sad evening (or maybe more than one evening) we will all get together 鈥渧irtually鈥 and shoot the heck out of each other. The last one standing wins.

Cool huh?

No, you鈥檙e right. I鈥檝e just read what I鈥檝e written and yes, I accept it鈥檚 sad. But SO much fun!

Wonder if I鈥檒l ever get the chance to get Chris in the game? That must feel fun, to wipeout Chris Moyles in a futuristic world 飦 飦 飦

Aled,
sack off the consoles and get into some real, nerdy, online gaming! Battlefield 2, avoid 2142 it sucks, on the PC is where it's at.

Yes online gaming is geeky, yes it destroys any social life you may have and yes it also kills 12 kittens each minute you play...but it's FUN!

p.s. and yes I also know my reply is really really really late. But sod it MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Aled,

If you want to put both yourself and Chris in a game go today and buy Rainbow 6 Vegas for the Xbox 360
( it has just been released today )

Its a brilliant first person shooter and if you have the Xbox Live Vision Camera you can scan your face onto your character!!

So if you want to shoot Chris you can!!

Its an excellent way to see your buddies online!!

Here's an idea: put all the effort into a time of year when people are listening.

Just a thought.

But thanks for the heads-up. I'll make an effort to catch some of this aymayzing Jocelyn format.

It better be damned good now, the J.

Hello Aled,

I'm from Japan and live in a wee bit of north of Tokyo. I download Chris Moyles Show into my ipod and listen to it on my way to work on the train. Here you go, one more good news for Will. Even people living in not-English-speaking country do download and listen to it, although I haven't heard anyone here shouting "Chicken fried rice for everybody!" yet so I don't know how many others listen to it.

Anyway, I just wanted to mention that PS3 were released here in Japan on Nov 11th. Shops opened at 4:00 AM and sold them out by 5:00 AM. A bit of panic, that was. I meself watched it on telly but hectic it looked.

Aled,

Are you playing Gears Of War? If you ain't, you oughta be - as they say. Whoever "they" are...

Seriously, it's one of the best games ever created, and well worth picking up. And the thought of you playing a weapon-clad beefcake amuses me greatly!

Enjoy!

Dan.

PS - There's nothing sad about it! Better you be playing online with others than locking yourself in a darkened room on your own and playing with yourself. So to speak.

Aled,

I cant wait for Rachel's Maida Vale Christmas Party on Friday 22nd featuring music from Sugababes, The Feeling and Paolo Nutini. Celebrity guests, Radio 1 DJs, fun and games, and live music - it all sounds so cool. Plus a gospel choir and Christmas dinner! Wow!
