Russell's No Swine
Yes you guessed it, it's Friday which usually means that Dave's left to blog as everyone else wants to start their weekend but he's pulled a showbiz strop and walked out early. Aled would have stepped in but he's busy interviewing Dom upstairs. You just know that's for his own personal Podcast so keep an eye on this weekend! Anyway enough about the team you want to hear about Russell Brand (if not I suggest you stop reading as I've nothing else to talk about)!
I was never very familiar with his work before today. Yes I'd heard the tabloid tales and yes I'd seen him on BBBM but I I'd never really been gripped by Russell fever. Today that changed. He's so lovely. He arrived early, was extremely polite and he only wanted water for breakfast so it made my life easy. Before he went on air I recorded some lines with him for our Christmas plans (I can't reveal too much but Comedy Dave's working on some festive material). He was brilliant to watch as he's so animated.
Blimey I sound like I have an obsession for the man now! I promise I don't. I mean he's far too tall my head did ache as it was tilted up at a 90 degree angle all morning. But he was a real gentleman and I wish him well in his career. Perhaps if Chris ever banishes me to Dance Anthems Russ can save me with a job on his show.

Great blog! Nice to hear from you! Erm BTW is it just me or is this weeks podcast exactly the same as the one released two weeks ago on 10th November?? This weeks 鈥渘ew one鈥 features Gwen Stefani, Gemma Atkinson and McFly plus chat about Carrie鈥檚 new boyfriend and the intro鈥檚 and outro鈥檚 are exactly the same as the 10th November. Has there been an mistake because I was really looking forward to the I鈥檓 a Celebrity fun stuff that Carrie promised in her latest blog!

As with you I'd not really heard much of Russell, apart from hearing he was very funny at the Policeman's Ball! (Shame I missed it!) As I was listening this morning he reminded me of the likes of Eddie Izzard & Sacha Baron Cohen. You have to be quite clever to be that funny! Great interview, thanks.
