Research says....
Last week, following Rachel time "off the hamster wheel" she dropped the now much-debated bomb-shell that she didn't meet any listeners who knew of Radio 1's website. This area off "the hamster wheel" must be a very techno-phobic place because on my return I can also reveal that the listeners that I met were also unaware of the Radio 1 website.
I'm assuming you're not one of them, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.
This hotbed of techno-phobic relaxing hampsters is an interesting place. Mine was in Norwich. A truly fascinating place. Genuinely. I'd never been to Norwich before and was ready to be greeted by a city of Alan Partridges. What I actually found were three distinct groups of teenagers who had their own section of the city to hang out in, who had their own passionate music scene and their own way of accessing music and artists. Some with the help of Radio 1 and others without.
Research told me that I'm not good at undercover stuff - after being sniffed out at being "that gay one off of The Chris Moyles Show". It also revealed that those who listen to the show passionately love or hate Chris - no sh*t Sherlock.
Well lots of stuff for me to consider. Which is good really because I'm unsure whether I'm banned or not from the studio for giving Chris the gift of feeback, so I have some time on my hands.
So, thank you for coming to the website and indeed knowing it's here. If you have a thick friend who isn't aware that "Radio 1 ONLINE" is this then please feel free to enlighten them. While you're there they can see pics, play Dave's Crosswordoku, play the pub quiz on the mobile (oh, we're losing them), listen to the show's best bits on their phone / computer / mp3 player (going.... going...) and even see Annie Mac doing her first Vodcast. (and they're gone).

I really find it strange that people don't know that Radio1 had a website! I mean when I visited the Uk last year I absolutely loved the station and just had to visit the site! I check it ever so often..particularly the charts to see what's hotte to download 'cuz here in Trinidad we don't really get much Brit. music.
Then again for those who didn't know about the site..how on earth did they think people got the podcasts, etc :S
Bizarre!

i find it funny (and slightly unbelievable) that some listeners don't know that radio one has a website - even though it's plugged several times on a daily basis!

Nearly every radio show has a website even if it's home-made.
And the fact that this is the ´óÏó´«Ã½ of course there's a website.

Hey gay one from the Chris Moyles Show, you guys are not just background noise here. If I'm gonna make a point to have the show on, I'm gonna listen! That's not to say that there aren't any thick Americans. We've got plenty, political jokes aside.

Hey Aled, there are thick people who listen to radio 1. They are NOT target audience but then neither am I. I am 65, LOVE Chris, bought his book, never miss a show, read the blog all the time, answer up often, love Scott next down from Chris and then Sara Cox next, love the music, love the links even more, always go on-line to check whats happening.
Hey Aled it takes all sorts to make a world, just feel very, very sorry for those who never go on-line and get all the good stuff. They only have 1/2 a life

Calvin declined! Arf, cracked me up, Head of Egg. Noted also how The Ones Who're Supposed to Make the Jokes stomped all over that one in their jealousy.
I wonder if those who don't know about the R1 site and are allegedly 'thick' have good grammar skills. Perhaps a survey could be conducted by Newsbeat.

I cant believe there are some people who listen to Radio 1 and dont know about this site, surely people cant be that dense?
Perhaps they all belong to the Jade Goody school of remembering because the fact that you plug the site every show proves that they all are a raisin short of a fruitcake and not worth thinking about!
Love the show, your great Aled and Chris is gorgeous as ever!

Hey Aled,
Blimey Chris didnt like it when you told him the radios just background noise!! The sad truth is for a lot of people it is - not for me, but say, my sister just listens to it for the music and quite frankly dosen't pay any attention to the links. Which is probably not what Chris wants to hear!
