Tis true!

This elitist little club called the Television and Radio Industry Club awards which has been running since 1931 have decided this year to give all their radio awards to The Chris Moyles Show 鈥 how cool is that!

This is now the second year we鈥檝e been to the TRIC awards and it鈥檚 turning out to be one of the biggest laughs of our year. In fact the whole laughing bit is contained in just a few minutes during the award ceremony, the bit where, for some reason, they feel compelled to run through which celebs are there! With spotlights, cameras and the celeb standing up to take a bow and everything! BRILLIANT!

They seem to start with the names they鈥檙e most proud of and then in a bid not to offend anyone run right through the list until you get to the 鈥渨ho?鈥 area. The names announced (in alphabetical order) were:

Michael Aspel
Cheryl Baker
Jeremy Beadle
Tony Blackburn
Fiona Bruce
Michael Buerk
Judith Chalmers
Jon Culshaw
Suzanne Dando
Janet Ellis
Vanessa Feltz
Michael Fish
Richard Hammond
Ian Hislop
Jamelia
Dr Hilary Jones (from GMTV)
Myleene Klass
Isobel Lang
Gary Linekar
Sian Lloyd
John McCririck
Ray Mears
Fiona Phillips
Gaby Roslin
Kym Ryder
June Sarpong 鈥 (no I didn鈥檛 say hi)
Penny Smith
Bill Turnball
Carol Vordeman
Dennis Waterman
And June Whitfield

Chris won best 鈥淒igital Radio Personality鈥, beating Jonathan Ross and Johnny Vaughan. In his acceptance speech he picked on Wogan.
Later that afternoon the whole team had the thrill of being recognised too as we won the 鈥淩adio / Digital Radio Programme鈥 award.

We all went on stage to accept the award 鈥 and I couldn鈥檛 resist a quick 鈥淎lright Dermot!鈥 to Dermot Murnaghan who was hosting the night.

Overall a brill day. Just what we needed as we head off around the UK with 7 nights of karaokes!

:)

Can't believe you had to put "From GMTV" after Dr Hilary Jones! He is a legend and needs no introduction!

Hey well done to Chris and the Gang - I am so proud that you won these awards and I know you really deserve them. My life would not be worth living without you and nor would a lot of other people - running into the millions no less.
Long Live King Moyles and his bad mouth bandits.
