Hello everyone - hope you're all well and happy. I have a bit of a sore throat at the moment but other than that all is fine.

Now then - the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has its own in-house magazine called Ariel. This name is very clever as it can relate to a TV ariel or a radio ariel. I like it. Anyway in the latest edition of the mag there's a special feature on the launch of Radio1's Big Weekend in Maidstone. But .... there's a very funny mistake on there!!!

The only band confirmed for Mote Park on the 10th and 11th May so far is Scouting for Girls. They won't be very pleased to note that the people at Ariel confused them for FolkFace - check out the picture above!!!

Ha ha...

Good times!!!!

Love

Dominic A Byrne

As you can see, I had several attempts at getting my point across whilst the comments on this blog seemed to be broken.

Sorry about that :-( Feel free to delete all but one of them.

Not quite. You're thinking of the word "aerial".

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ magazine is called "Ariel" after the character from Shakespeare's play, "The Tempest". There's a statue of Ariel and Prospero on the front of Broadcasting House.

Er... no. When you're talking about TV and radio transmission then you spell it "aerial" - it's a completely different word.

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ magazine is called Ariel after the "airy Spirit" from Shakepeare's play "The Tempest". There's a statue of Ariel and Prospero on the front of Broadcasting House.

Er... no. That's "aerial". With an "e".

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ magazine is called Ariel after the statue of Ariel and Prospero (characters from The Tempest) on the front of Broadcasting House.

"Ariel" is called that after the stature of Prospero and Ariel (characters from The Tempest) on the front of Broadcasting House.

Dom, you are a legend!

Thats a corker of a mistake by Ariel, tho wasnt she a mermaid? Also why does Dave look like a blind busker? Genius. Keep up the good work and good luck for the gladiators audition.

Peace out - Taylor.

Perhaps you could put that joke to music.

Comedy in music is like telling a joke over and over again, and who doesn't love that?
