Ahhh poor Dom - it's like getting rid of part of the family - we had one and an old bloke bought it to store his fishing gear in - when I drive by the fishing pool and see it sat there - smelling of maggots and full of rods, I do feel very nostalgic!!

Did you see my comment about men and cooking! I think I put it in the wrong bit - I am new to all this as well - here it is look

I was listening this morning as normal and I had to laugh when I heard you on
about the state of your kitchen with dirty pans and peas everywhere.

I laughed because I am reading a new book at the moment and am on a chapter about men and cooking.......

It says..................

"First come the gathering of vital kitchen equipment, which basically means
every single pot, pan, knife, chopping board, mixing bowl and wooden spoon.
Every useless kitchen gadget you have ever misguidedly bought will be brought
out of the Kitchen Gadget Graveyard, dusted out and laid out for se. At the end
of the evening, you would be forgiven for thinking that the SAS had just
conducted a search and destroy mission in your previous spotlessly clean,
beautifully uncluttered kitchen. As you wearily begin to clean up after him,
you will wonder what on earth he could have used the pasta machine for and why
were there bits of meat in the juicer? Surely he couldnt have used it to make
the gravy (but he probably did)"

So was that what Sophie thought when she saw your kitchen after you had cooked
the pasta!!!

pps - there is another comment in the book about Jamie Oliver - it says while Gordon Ramsay and other TV chefs inspire men to cook Jamie Oliver , rather than inspiring men to whip up a romantic meal for two, just makes them want to smash his face in!!!)

I hope the author is listening to Radio One this week - even Chris And Aled have cooked!!!

Hey Chris and guys when you guys become too old for R1 you can get into TV doing a cookery show, same guys, same gags, same mistakes, same insults, same laughs, you will be able to make a fortune.

Dom, I feel for you, I lost my dearly beloved red car a year or so ago after 13 years together and every single day I think of it with sorrow.
